Haven’t really been keeping up with this thread and surprised to see people having issues with bunker splash shots… I find them some of the easier shots in the game… what’s been the main complaint?

For me personally, even splash shots that were slightly (gray) slow or fast were really penalized and you'd likely not get the ball out of the trap even if your tempo was just a sliver off. The chip shots were much more forgiving. Therefore, I'd use chips because I could escape the sand every time.

I am fine they took out the chip from the sand...as long as there was a bit more balancing of the splash shot to punish poor tempo, but at least give you an out if your tempo is "OK".

hmmm wow yeah never experienced this. The only time I would truly "duff" a sand shot was a very fast or very slow swing, which I felt was accurate, I really needed to be off to do it though. Slow or fast swings out of the sand have felt more or less the same as 2K21 for me, obviously now with the added need to put backspin on everything to make it stick

Been playing today for the first time since the patch. I can definitively confirm that in spite of removing the ability to chip from green side bunkers, they have definitely made splash shots much more realistic. The balance is great now. I haven't duffed a single splash shot, even out of pot bunkers at renaissance.

The only other major issue remaining for me is how limited and repetitive the course selection is when playing 1v1 9 hole. I played 3 in a row and all 3 were Sawgrass back 9, against 3 different players. I've probably played 10 1v1 matches and the only 2 courses I've seen are Sawgrass and East Lake.

It would be great if you are the one initiating a matchmaking game, if you could change the course. Or at a minimum, if they would completely randomize the courses between official and 2k "sanctioned" designed courses. I'm really tired of playing East Lake and Sawgrass at this point.

Just played 3 more rounds. *really* enjoying the game, fully, for the first time.

I even spent time getting new clubs, which I didn't even do in 21...Hogan irons, Bridgestone balls, and a Hogan mallet putter (like the one I have IRL).

This patch rocks. Love what they've done with the green side splash shot adjustments. Thanks for listening, 2k. I know there are more improvements coming, but until the EA comes out (if it plays as good or better than this), this upgrade, in spite of a bunch of stuff I'm not interested in, is the best golf sim of all time. So much room for this series to grow once they finally ditch Unity.

Found a couple of serious bugs playing a private match with my friend tonight.

Even though I always remove all pins except the tips before we play, it's putting me on the ladies tee box, and him on the tips. 90 yard difference most holes. I've tried everything to fix it. Also, the pins are in different placements on every hole. It completely ruins the game playing with him. Anyone else noticing this or have any tips on how to fix it? This was happening pre 1.05 patch.

Is anyone else not receiving their $$ (or whatever it is) after each round? I always get the $25 for finishing without a stroke limit but it isn’t actually being added to my total. Kind of frustrating. Only time I’m getting it is when I increase a level.

I know how to remove all of the other tees so that only the first one is used, but it's not working. Not sure where to select the same pin placement? Either way it doesn't seem to be working for the tees.

Hmmm, that's super frustrating then. And I don't play private matches at all, so I don't know how to select pins, either. At least it does seem that others are seeing this same issue though? No matter what, it seems this game is just filled with odd bugs and glitches - even more than usual, and that's saying something...

Had a horrible round 2 for CC-K TGCT. Started off with a quad bogey on 1 and ended up 5 over for the round. The green speed caught me off guard. The round I had played in career before that the greens were much slower.

Swing is starting to get pretty consistent and giving myself chances but just end up burning the edges of most putts that aren't a gimme. And man if I do manage to sink one I give it right back on the next hole. I'm stuck in that even par range right now. Had a round this morning before work where I had 6 birdies but 4 bogeys and a double. Just can't get over that hump.

Maybe someone can help here. I made numerous mistakes with the use of fittings upgrades exchanges deconstruction the whole 9. So I would just like to start the game fresh. I am in the process of reinstalling the game. I have tried deleting all the saves in the game. When I go back to see if the saves were deleted they were but when I fire up the game again it is still showing my VC and fittings as well as my choice of golf bag.

Since I already received these fittings in the game I don't think I can get them again. Anything I can do so far as getting a fresh start other than what I have already done? New gamertag didn't work either. On PS4.

I only play casual rounds so could be different but are you making sure to hit the confirm button after selecting your tees?

My understanding is that the "Deconstruction" of the fittings means you essentially sell them for VC. So I would assume you could just Deconstruct every fitting you have earned, get all that VC, and then start over with zero fittings in your collection. I have not done this at all, so I may be wrong here.

You would then just have to keep playing and earn them all over again. I also think you can also reset your career mode, so that you'd be able to play thru rivals and sponsors again to get the fittings that come with leveling up there.

If you wanted to do this with your skills, it costs 500 VC to totally reset them, so you could basically do that and have a total blank slate with no skills in play, no fittings attached to any of your clubs, and everything set to the default levels.

I'll check that out, I'm not sure I remember doing that. Do you know how to make sure the pin placement is the same for both players as well? I haven't found that yet.
