It would make sense if they hired Patel to add something like those challenges to the game. I played 2K23 yesterday and got bored right away. It's like hit the ball and chase to hit it again. Rinse, repeat.

And one more thing I forgot to add that goes along with what we want to see in 2K25: I'd like to play against the CPU and see his shots.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
Tiger challenges? So 2005.
2k needs a real career that lets you play on any course you want. Any course. This is idea of them dictating where you must play is stoopid.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
Unless they drop the PGA Tour license, that won't happen. The whole reason they got rid of Solo Societies in 2K21 was because they implemented a more authentic PGA Tour career mode...one with more real events at more real courses. And then 2K23 doubled down on that with even more real courses and events.Last edited by MrArlingtonBeach; 01-18-2024, 01:56 AM.Orbis Non SuficitComment

Agreed Beach.
When I reached Level 50 with my golfer...that kind of did it for me for a while.
I like something you brought up. NBA 2K23 had The Jordan Challenge, and 2K24 has Mamba Moments. Maybe give us Tiger's Top Ten or something, where we have to hit a certain Par, beat this player head-to-head, or a quick one where you have to hit a difficult shot "this close" to the hole (NBA 2K23 had a quick one where you only had to hit "The Shot" over Craig Ehlo).
I would love for them to get the license for some legends as well like I've said before. But yes--do more with Tiger since that was supposed to be a big get for 2K.Comment

I did something similar last week, went to play some of the Quick Tournaments scenarios to get a few PSN trophies I hadn't played.Comment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I have gone back and forth on whether I prefer EA or 2K. As much as I like EA and its visual appeal I just can't get over the blandness of its gameplay. 2K in my opinion plays such a better game of golf. It's mostly the short game that I believe separates the two games. EA it seems like all short game shots are the same. Out of the rough, from a bunker, short chips, flops, bump and runs. All the animations look the same and the ball has this weird flight and never seems to react realistically. With 2K there is a distinct difference in all of these from animations to the physics of each shot. Then there is putting where 2K's blows EA out of the water.
I just find myself going to 2K when I want to sit down and play a few rounds.
I look forward to the next 2K release and hope they build on what they have. Maybe offer a little more customization when it comes to the golfer and equipment.
Golf clubs:
- Different ball striking sounds to pick from
- More shaft color/pattern options
- Actually have 3 irons and 2 irons!
- Customizable heads
Golfers:
-Body weight differences
-Multiple swing animationsComment

Re: PGA TOUR 2K23 Impressions
I can’t say that 2K has better animations than EA. Neither are perfect but EA’s address position for full swings is definitely better but not for short game I agree. The wrist position is awkward on 2K’s game & only looks acceptable on a ball above feet shot. Neither game feels dynamic due to the choice in mechanics. I can’t see 2K breaking their tempo style swing which I loathe but they may surprise me…🤞🏼
Unity is capable of better graphics so long as they make the decision to only program for current gen and leave the PS4 behind.Comment

Recreations of a specific course that take copy right seriously is more than likely the reason they don’t. Sad truth unfortunately.Comment
