Don't get me wrong, I understand why they're doing it this way. I'm just a bit disappointed because I think the high horsepower cars bring out the flaws in the current tire model more, and I was looking forward to trying the NTM on a true road car with a gobs of horsepower. This just means I'll have to wait a bit to do so as I'm not buying either of the new cars. As of yet anyways.

It will be interesting to see how the NTM changes from what we have now to what is put out later this week. Kenny found a few things out at Vegas in our OS race, he was actually faster after once heat cycle on the tires, because of the lack of wear effecting the speed the tire can hold (which may or may not be right, but I dont think its right)
Looking foward to trying out the Ford Gt and LMP. Suzuka will be great to compare to Forza and GT, since those are the only games I have drove that track in.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
I think the heavy, high HP cars have the biggest issues. The V8 shows the flaws pretty well I think, and that's extremely similar to the NASCAR vehicles. Although they did tweak it in one of the more recent builds.
The Skippy should be pretty fun to try, and knowing me I'll end up buying the new cars and tracks anyways so maybe I shouldn't be complaining. lol I've gone from "not going to buy them" to "I'll see what people think" to "man, it'd be awesome to drive the Acura" in the matter of about a week.
Oh, and that it's best to keep your eyes on the track rather than the TV. Otherwise you end up almost causing a wreck under caution, as well as almost run into people on pit road.Comment

Re: iRacing after 2+ years
runN1st and myself just became proud members of the 100% owners club. It's almost too much...but I am sure we can handle it. Time to get really in-depth with this sim, and keep pushing our weekly race. I will be hosting two sessions this Friday. Indianapolis, and Iowa....my treat of course Gents.
I will try and get the sign up sheet posted tonight, or tomorrow a the latest.Last edited by bluengold34_OS; 07-26-2011, 04:58 PM.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Well...if it wasn't for an abundance of iRacing credits Terry, I wouldn't have bought some of those also.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment
