Yep. I'll be running in it. Started practicing last night in solo mode. Although I don't know how much that will help since they are going to be using a fixed setup.

Yeah I know. You plan on racing in the Daytona 500?

Okay I've talked to RunN1st and the plan is to do some Daytona 500 practice at Talladega tonight at 7pst . I have a set up that I plan to share so we can all tweak on it to see what we can do with it. I need to know who's in and if we should password it or leave it as an open practice. Let me know folks.

That's cool. I just finished running a 60 lap race at Talladega had me a good drafting partner. 3 separate times we dropped completely out of the draft and each time was able to go back to the front within 3 - 4 laps using the high line. Once we fell well over 6 seconds behind the leader and was able to drive back up and get the lead. The racing is so much better now it's just a matter of getting a good partner that knows what he's doing and working together for the whole race. I love racing like this.

Here is a crap video I made yesterday just playing around. I have noticed in the 2 car draft that if you try sticking your nose out a little to get some air that it wants to suck your car around and it makes it a little difficult to control. It actually takes you a few seconds to gather it back up and get going again. In the first part you'll notice that the guy I'm pushing I can't stay connected to him off the corners he would pull away from me. My only guess is that we was running different gears. Now this video is nowhere near the great high class quality of kneebon5 but here goes. Feel free to laugh all you want, it won't hurt my feelings.

Had a fast lap pushing a car of 47.798 seconds 200.343 mph.

By the way, some of us in my league are going to be running a 250 round 'Dega in the trucks sometime soon. PM me and I'll give you the details.

February 25th don't know the time yet. Yeah I'll be up to running a truck race let me know when.

Had one of the best 2 car breakaway's so far last night. Me pushing the 88 made quick work of getting away from everyone else. This is the most I've seen 2 cars put a distance on a field so far in this build. You definitely have to be committed to someone and it'll work great.

hows everyones s1 2012 going? ive been really impressed with this latest version of the ntm on the dp. im currently sitting 3rd in my division for the grand am. after not racing all that much last season im trying to get in a full season on the road side and am hoping to get in a full season on the oval side also.

Repaved Daytona is now available. iRacing has outdone themselves again, this track build is well done.

I'll put up a server around 3:30 Central for Daytona if anybody wants to join. Just let me know back soon if you want it to be just a long practice session or a 50 lap race. Also Cup, Nationwide or Truck and day or night? See y'all soon I hope.

If nobody can make it tell me a day or time and I'll host something for us all.
