Actually green flag stops have been alright for me. I just raced at Kansas and when I came in I was 7th, but when I cam out I was 4th. It was kind of nice to see that. I did another one and gained like 6 spots during green flag stops, so they work better then last year. I have even held the lead through green flag stops, came in first, and was still first when everyone was done.

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
Are you all racing quick races, or are you in your career?
Can anybody give some detailed impressions about the career mode? How upgrades work? How you go about picking a team (or them picking you)?
How quickly do you upgrade equipment? Will you genuinely struggle for a couple of years?
Thanks!Playing:

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
I ran my career race at Vegas this weekend (Hard, 3x wear, 15%). It was really fun, actually. Like the other races I've run so far, there have been no green flag pit issues, but I SEE the cars cutting across the track to the outside line too 'early' coming back on the track. They have not caused accidents doing this yet for my races, but it does need to be addressed.
What I would also like is a simple fix of making sure I'm notified by my crew chief/spotter that cars are going to pit lane under green. Sometimes I'm told, other times I'm not. You should ALWAYS be told so I'm not rounding turn 4 into someone's tailpipe. I've had too many close calls.
At Vegas, one of the cautions was caused by a guy getting turned around in pit lane, which I thought was kinda cool as we've seen that happen IRL.
For me anyway, so far the racing's been good. Bristol's next.
I haven't been placing as high as I like or could, but it's because I've gotten impatient and overdrive the car at times. I laugh at how banged up my right side looks by the end of the race because I meet the wall trying to drive too fast at times. Gotta work on my patience, and I'll really need it at the short tracks even moreso.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
I'd like to thank everyone for their patience whilst we are diligently working to address the issues with NTG:IL. We've made good progress in fixing the majority of both online and offline issues and the coding work is almost completed. We've started to shift in to the testing phase and ,after addressing any final bugs, we'll be ready to submit to 1st party. We expect the game to be in test for a good couple of weeks. I'll post and update when testing is completed.

Me again...keep in mind that if they find bugs during testing they may need a little time to correct them and retest. Once they submit to 1st parties (Sony and MS), expect the usual wait of week to week and a half for certification.GO 'HAWKS!

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
Only just got the game, and so far I like all but that I can't handle in traffic.. every time I get with a couple cars I can't handle/turn that well and go up the track a bit and cause a yellow.. and this is only the duels so far.. started on the pole since I can handle without other cars around but was in 14th by the end of the first lap since they accelerate so much quicker .. but I can't get out front in the duel .. I quit and restarted the driver once already trying to figure it out. Caused 6 yellows so far in the duel.
Maybe it's supposed to be this way as a rookie driver before 'buying' upgrades from sponsorship dollars?
Did manage to end up 9th in the duel with a couple last left started to finally catch the draft and pass and stay ahead of cars. I figure that eventually I'll get this down, then it, 2k13 and NHL13.. between those and work, maybe the long Minnesota winter will go faster?Last edited by DHMN69; 11-19-2012, 04:38 PM.View Through My Lens sports photography

To be honest, using a wheel makes holding the different lines (path around the track) a ton easier. Also, if you have the braking aid on, you the CPU will brake a ton when it's not needed."The older I get, the faster I was!"

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
Really stupid that I drop 10 spots on EVERY re-start almost immediately... hope by the time I get to Talladega I have a little acceleration on restarts.
Race update.. I actually made it to 1st.. for 3 laps.. someone came from behind and spun me.. .. since then 6 more yellows since I don't accelerate .. the WORST thing is I'm playing on 100%.. 200 laps of Daytona and the stupid game doesn't account for YELLOW laps.. no way I'll be able to finish the raceLast edited by DHMN69; 11-19-2012, 05:57 PM.View Through My Lens sports photography

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
I had to quit that Daytona race, have to work in an hour and was ONLY at lap 60/200 because of all the yellows and lack of actual caution laps being counted it took well OVER AN HOUR for 60 laps! There must be something I missed in starting the game that eliminated caution laps counting towards race laps??
Also not liking that I keep getting wrecked from behind, that is pretty consistent with an online review of the game I read AI cars way too aggro, pushing you into others or spinning you out whenever possible.. I have enough trouble not riding up the track into another car on turns without the help!
My complaints, the previous and the lack of ANY chance on a restart (or the actual race start). If I can take the pole to start the Daytona 500, 10-20 cars shouldn't pass me on the race start before they can actually hook up and draft past me, where I would expect to be passed.View Through My Lens sports photography

Re: I have the NASCAR The Game: Inside the Line
For you guys getting run over by the AI, get used to it. That happens at every track, if you see them coming get out of the way cause they will just run you over. At Daytona and Talladega I didn't have a problem. I thought it was great the AI drafted with me great and never once came even close to spinning me.
Also for you guys wanting better restarts, make sure you upgrade your transmission. I would do that before worrying about your engine. That's what I did and it helped a lot.Comment

I think it sounds to me like the problem is he's doing too much blocking instead of drafting. Either that or having a hard time holding the line in the turns and just swerving all over the place. You've got to be patient, especially at Daytona and Dega...
If they've got a run on you, don't dive down and try to block, unless you have plenty of time to do so, it's never going to end well for you.Miami Dolphins - Detroit Red Wings - Toronto Blue Jays - Michigan Wolverines - CANADAComment
