Re: Official Wii Impressions
I didn't bother, Nintendo gives a generous warranty themselves, and I've never had a Nintendo system die on me (knock on wood). Gamestop's warranty was $25, so I just passed.Comment

Re: Official Wii Impressions
The Wii made me remember why I love video games. It is really fun. Playing the Wii reminded me when I open up my ColecoVision on Christmas day back in 81. I was amazed how I was playing Donkey Kong on my television. Playing the Wii is giving me the same type of feeling. Now gaming isn't just my hobby my children and wife is playing the Wii.
I have a feeling this system will define this generation. If only Golden Eye 007 could be online.Comment

Wii claims first victim - a 60-inch TV
Wrist-strapping mismap
By INQUIRER newsdesk: Monday 20 November 2006, 14:49
EXCITED WII USERS should learn to take it easy on their Wiimote, if one gamer's experience is anything to go by.
Something Awful forum user 'Tuxedo Jack' tells his tragic tale, and of how a friend enthusiastically playing Wii sports managed to impale a 60-inch rear-projection TV.
So, why weren't the gamers wearing Ninty's trusty wrist strap, designed to prevent such incidents from happening in the first place? Well, it turns out they were wearing the wrist strap, until it decided to snap mid-bowling and send the Wiimote hurtling towards the pricey kit.
