That's really strange you guys didn't get the game in an official box.

Nintendo must have really rushed the launch for Thanksgiving, because mine here (Australia) came with the box like a typical game and the wiimote straps were the thicker, stronger one's too.

The Australian Wii's came in a box, for some reason. All overs...just a CD sleeve.

I second Excitetruck. It's not the deepest racing game ever but its a ton of fun and makes good use of the remote. The only thing missing is online. I also have Elebits and I personally wouldn't recommend it. I thought my son would like it and he did...for about 10 minutes. We're not that far into the game but so far it's pretty repetitive and seems more like a demonstration project for the new control scheme than anything else. It's no more than a rental IMO, if that.

Good looking out on the WiiSports cover - that's awesome.

Anyone plan on picking up Wii Play ?? Looks like one of those simple, but addicting games. Comes with a remote too.

                      Re: Official Wii Discussion

It's nowhere near as fun or deep as Wii Sports, but yeah to get an extra remote for only a few extra bucks it's a good deal.

We got Wii Play at launch here and I've had fun with it.

Find Mii and Pose Mii are very simple games and won't be played much at all. Same with Table Tennis. It doesn't control at all like Wii Sport Tennis or how you would expect. You just have to move the remote left or right to get behind the ball and that's it. Fishing and Billiards are extremely simple too.

The others though are fun. Laser Hockey requires good reflexes and is cool against a mate.

Charge is a cow racing game where you turn the remote on it's side. Tilt it forward to accelerate, left and right to turn and quickly move it up to jump. You have to run over scarecrows for points and jump obstacles, all while racing against the clock. Not bad for a quick demonstration on how the remote can be used in racing games.

I found Tanks fun too. A little top down tank shooter where you can drop mines and shoot missiles at the enemy tanks. It's a one hit death game, where you have to rely on some basic tactics like shooting behind cover and rebounding missiles to progress. Again, it shows that the remote and nunchuck aren't limited to just a few styles of gameplay.

Shooting is the best by far. Like the old Duck Hunt NES game I guess. There's five rounds, from shooting balloons, targets, clay discs, to juggling cans and shooting fast moving ufo's who are trying to capture your little Mii's on the screen. Two player is fun in this too.

The game actually starts with only one game open and they unlock one by one as you learn each new control method so it really is a demo/tutorial sort of mini game collection. Strange that it didn't launch with the Wii everywhere.

Hey fellas, I installed a 1 gig Sandisk SD card today in the only slot in the front of the Wii.. Where do I find the SD card on the Wii Menu?

I don't see it under Data Management. It just shows the 2 game saves I have.
