Oh I was interested! ...but it's a no go.

I don't blame anyone for keeping them. Just irritates me to know 2 miles down the road 30+ Wii's are in the back room at Walmart and they won't sell them until the soccer moms can get some rest.

Tell me about it man, it's really unfair. How many people are off on Wed. morning at 8:30 AM? Come on Wal-Mart, atleast give us dads a shot at it on the weekend. But we don't have a chance at the soccer moms, in their mini-vans, on their cell phones. No chance..

I may be way off, but I think companies sell their products to stores so by the time they hit the shelves the company that makes them already has their money and the products now belong to the store they are at. So they can put them on the floor whenever they want.

I thought that was how it worked, since there is always argument in sales numbers because sometimes teh number of something shipped gets advertised as opposed to the number actually sold to consumers.

CM, you are correct.

I know many are getting pissed that stores like Walmart are hording the systems for another launch like event, but when it comes right down to it, Walmart purchased the systems from Nintendo. They can sell these now at whenever they feel like it.

Exactly. No way I can be at Walmart at midnight or 8am during the week. What's worse for us is my wife also works so neither can get to the stores to get one during these times.

Skyboxer, the days right now seem to be

-Sunday for Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City.
-Tuesday for EB, Gamestop (If you have a Westfield Mall near you, they are supposed to get about 60 systems per EB/GS)
-Wednesday for Walmart

-Sunday for Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City.

I can try CC Sunday and hope to get lucky. I would get there early and hope there aren't 50 people already in line.

I think Best Buy might be the better bet on Sunday, since they have been get a nice amount of consoles. I don't know how many CC gets or have ever heard any numbers for their chain. I would call your local CC tonight or tomorrow and confirm that they are getting some.

The only store here that took pre-orders was FYE. They took only 15 and they still haven't gotten ANY systems in, not even on launch day. Gamestop diid not take pre-orders in our mall. They said "because of the 360 shortage problems"
So I was screwed.

I think Best Buy might be the better bet on Sunday, since they have been get a nice amount of consoles. I don't know how many CC gets or have ever heard any numbers for their chain. I would call your local CC tonight or tomorrow and confirm that they are getting some.

The nearest BB is around 70 miles away. I'd hate to drive that far to come back empty handed. We'll see. I'll get one sooner or later

Out of curiosity, has anyone with a Wii here picked up some remote sleeves? I've considered it since I imagine the white remotes are going to get a bit grimey looking after a lot of play, but the sleeves retail for as much as 10 bucks which seems like a rip off. I was curious if they were comfortable though or if they hindered play at all. They look like they're made out of a cheap, rubbery material which is kind of a turn-off.

I'll have to check, but I think you just equaled my top score in bowling as well. Anyone else learn via Wii Bowling that it's called a Turkey when you get 3 strikes in a row? I did not know that.

Sorry, bro. I'm sure you will find one soon. This is one impressive system. The thing is tiny. The menu interface is slick and easy to navigate. The wiimote responds well to movement.

Bowling is a blast. That's all I've been playing. Haven't even tried Zelda yet.
