I cannot f'n wait until AfterBurner Climax comes out on XBLA. Awesome modernized update of the classic game I played as a youngster.

This looks like it has the potential to be epic. I'll reserve judgment until I play the demo, but it sounds very intriguing. I wish they had some gameplay videos of it.

For those who haven't played the arcade version and really don't understand what we're getting in AfterBurner Climax, here's the first of an old 3-part YouTube video of a guy who's obviously mastered the game playing through it on one credit. He's even playing with the memorable retro background music from AfterBurner II blasting out of the speakers. "Final Take Off," "Super Stripe," "Red Out" and the "After Burner" theme all still sound great. Makes me grin watching this guy get after it. To find the other two parts of this playthrough video, look for the uploader brt0001.

        <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDTSApDzy3Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDTSApDzy3Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I know I'll miss the experience of sitting in the rotating cabinet while playing the Xbox Live Arcade version, but the challenging and intense action from the arcade cabinet version will still be there. Hearing the retro music with the constant "FIRE!" sound whille launching hundreds of missiles and dodging relentles enemy fire never gets old.

What is the deal with Zune HD...a lot of movies have been removed, especially the Dark Knight..

And a lot of movies I have on HD-DVD the sequels on Zune HD I can't purchase in HD. WTF is up with that!

Does anyone know if the Madden "buy 1000 points get 400 free" promotion will allow one to use the points for anything? I'm on vacation and away from my console.

Darwinia combines Introversion's Darwinia and Multiwinia into one package, redesigned for Xbox Live Arcade, and is effectively a director's cut of their original work.

This looks like it could be good.

Magicka is an action/adventure in which the player takes on the role of a wizard of a decadent ancient order, utilizing a complex game mechanic to let players, in real-time, dynamically combine different elements to create spells or the even more powerful Magicks to exploit the weaknesses of their foes.
The game will feature 15 different levels in 9 different environments, giving the players a huge replayability with unlockable magicks, weapons and challenge levels not found the first time around. Another important aspect of the game is the co-op mode, Johan points out. “Games are about being social, gather a couple of friends and hit the couch. You'll sure to have a blast as you either hurl them off a cliff with a misplaced earth-projectile or successfully bring down a huge mountain troll due to flawless teamplay!” All game modes will be available with up to 4 player co-op.

I see counterstrike is one of the most popular original xbox titles downloaded on the 360. Does anybody know if that means people play it online? I never played the xbox version so I don't know if there was a single player or not. If people played that online, I may be interested in getting it.

Well Xbox Live is shutting down service for Xbox 1 games in April, so I wouldn't really advise buying it.

There is a single player mode in CS, but it's just the multiplayer mode with bots. I assume everyone that plays it plays it online.

thanks man, if that is the case then definitely won't get. Not like there's a lack of good games coming out this year anyway.

                                XBL Arcade Block Party

Things may have been a bit slow on the Xbox Live Arcade since last summer's "Summer of Arcade" promotion, but things will really be picking up in March with the Xbox Live Arcade Block Party. Microsoft revealed at X10 today that the new promotion will begin on March 3 with the release of Toy Soldiers, the Arcade game we first saw last year that places you in the shoes of an antique toy soldier battling it out in a World War I diorama. Beginning tomorrow, Microsoft will launch a "companion" Facebook game called Toy Soldiers: Match Defense where you'll be able to match items in order to win countries and conquer Europe.

Also coming in March is Game Room, the new service that allows gamers to play classic arcade games. The port of N64 shooter Perfect Dark is also scheduled for a March release, complete with enhanced graphics, leaderboards, and online multiplayer. And last is the car combat game Scrap Metal that was revealed just last month.

March is just around the corner, so we should be hearing a lot more about all four titles very soon.
