with the price drop from Sony and the one coming from MS at the end of the month, it may been 4 years in the nex-gen era, but I really think with the same price the War has only begun.N.Y Mets

Re: The On-going Battle..Xbox 360 or PS3??
If it wasn't for Blu Ray I never would've got the ps3, there really aren't many interesting games that don't also come out on the 360 and most multiplatform games look better on the 360.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Yah, that'd definitely where individual tastes come into play. Like I said earlier, overall, for me, the PS3 exclusives have been a lot better; Motorstorm, Uncharted, inFamous, Killzone, Hot Shots, The Show, etc.
HOWEVER, probably my favorite game this gen (right ahead of Uncharted) is Gears of War... the other 360 exclusives really don't interest me at all; Halo, Fable, etc.Comment

Gears of War is the one title that makes me comeback to the 360. Halo tends to pull me in for a short period of time. The avatars are cool.Yah, that'd definitely where individual tastes come into play. On the PS3 I have enjoyed Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone 2, inFamous, Ratchet (even though I am frustrated w/ this one), The Show, and the list goes on. I have always felt that PSN games were better than XBLA, but boy if more titles like Shadow Complex release they will give PSN titles a run.
In the end, both are great and offer different experiences.Comment

I get the feeling this will prove to be the wrong decision...
I bought a PS3 because of the Blu Ray, Free online, LBP, GT5, MGS4, numerous other exclusives, and my friends had it.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I still have my Launch BC PS3, and I couldn't be happier.Last edited by Whitesox; 08-19-2009, 06:26 PM.Comment

Is this a fanboy thread? Because it's starting to become like one.Comment

Honestly, threads like these have no hope of being anything more than that. Even if it starts out relatively cool, it always ends up with X-fanboy vs. Y-fanboy. Even if someone is not making a particularly "fanboyish" comment, all it takes is someone with limited comprehension to take it the wrong way and bring the thread down.PS: You guys are great.

Actually This thread is pretty good so far... There have been a couple of post that have tried to start something but it could be worse.
With that said both are good consoles.. Really depends what your preference is.. I have with the most recent price drop decided to go Ps3.... Are games generally better on the 360?? Maybe so... But at the 299 price point of the Ps3 how can you beat it really?? It's got one of the better blu ray player on the market. So far pretty reliable. On my way to Walmart to pick up PS3 and the show for 299

Re: The On-going Battle..Xbox 360 or PS3??
Meh, the console wars are just another excuse for 10 year olds to flame one-another on forums. If anything suits my interest on any console, I'll be in the market for one, 'nuff said.
The fact that most of the games on both consoles are multiplatform and virtually indistinguishable from one-another (with the exception of anti-aliasing and framerate quirks) doesn't help this.
I may be in the market for a PS3 Slim but I'll only buy a handful of games for it (GT5, The Show, Killzone 2), and maybe use it as a secondary Blu-ray player. Other than that, my multiplatform stuff will either be exclusively 360 or spread out between both systems.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment
