Like extreme says this got out of hand with the lies. It's one thing if he want to flip flop consoles which is cool. But to continually lie about it and create drama / hysteria over it has crossed the line. This has been going on for a long time and the bashing trolling when he flips is not necessary at all. We all know its his money and he can do whatever he pleases with it, but there is no need for all this hoopla.

It got worse with that eBay thread and the guy selling busted consoles which got a few to buy them on here. It's bad enough the 360 has a bad rap for failures but to come on here and lie about which got a few guys to believe him pissed me off. There is no need for this crap......he could have gone back to the ps3 without this much drama.

Yeah, shouldn't be that big of a deal. I've done it many times, change back and forth. I'm trying to keep both of mine, so I don't have to. Unfortunately, both of mine are either at Headquarters or en route back to me, so at the time, I'm systemless.

Not cool to lie. It's just a videogame system and an online forum.

That's what I did. I couldn't take it anymore. I tried only having 1 system (ps3) but, as soon as the new 360's came out I went and picked one up.

Thanks again. It says that MS has stopped shipping HD cables with the new elites..........that sucks.

Maybe someone who has recently purchased the new 250 gig slim can confirm ?

Neither of the systems come with an HDMI cable, only a composite. That is something you need to purchase separately, sorry bud.

My original 360 came with component cables. I can't imagine why they would ship a system without providing that. If I do a trade I'll obviously just keep my component cables, assuming the new system can take the same connection.

I kind of want the new system for the huge hard drive and the kinect-ready factor. However if by all accounts kinect sucks, then I probably won't buy anything.

What's the turnaround time on the RROD fix by Microsoft these days? I tried looking for the RROD thread here but haven't seen anything since May. I think I read on one thread that it's a week or maybe less. Hope so. RROD'd on Saturday and got it sent off for replacement today.

Hopefully MS is doing a better job of refurbing these days...I have heard of some horror stories of systems being DOA when they show up on your doorstep.

It's tempting to just buck up for one of the new models, because it looks like they have addressed the failure rates. I can't justify bucking up for it just yet though when I can get a refurb for free.

i have had to send in 3 xboxes and the turnaround for the last 2 has been 2 weeks from the day it shipped. my last one lasted 3 years. i got my last one back 2 weeks ago so i hope it lasts longer this time.
