Well for any fighting game fans.... I've been playing UMVC3 for about an hour. I have pretty big hands so it was difficult to pull off some of the motions initially. However after about 30 minutes I was pulling off my basic trish and firebrand combos.

Oh yeah, and it looks absolutely gorgeous.

Just walked into local GameStop and they had 1 left. That's right before the young man in front of me could say anything, I said I'd take it.
The poor guy thought he had pre- ordered the same thing but he ordered the wifi only version so he has to wait until next week!!!!!

                      Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion

Where to begin? I've been enthusiastic about this thing since I first heard about it so take my impressions with a huge grain of salt...

I've had it about 2 1/2 hours and I've been playing it nonstop and messing with the settings. I got the bundle, a 32 GB memory card, FIFA and Virtua Tennis. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, this thing is just awesome.

FIFA is basically the PS3 version in your hands. I'm more of a PES guy so I wouldn't really notice a lot of differences between this and FIFA 12 on the PS3 but it's a great approximation of the console game. I bought Virtua Tennis because I skipped Top Spin 4/Virtua Tennis on the consoles and I'm happy with it as well. I will play through the whole career mode on Vita and then keep it for exhibition matches here and there.

I downloaded a few PSP games and I've been playing those as well. Note: there are only so many games available to download from the PS Vita itself, but you can play any PSP game on Vita that you downloaded from your PS3. So I downloaded Street Fighter Alpha 3, Tiger Woods 10, GTA Vice City Stories and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. You just hook up your Vita to your PS3 and you can copy the games over. So far I've played Tiger and Street Fighter and theyr'e great! I will probably play a lot of games I missed on the PSP now.

The quality of this think is top notch and I am enthusiastic for the future of this thing. Future sports games like the Show, Madden, nba 2k, etc will be great and if they only port console games over other than that I would be fine with it. Red Dead, GTA, etc all on a handheld with 2 sticks would get me harder than Wolverine's skeleton...

No worries. I'll just hold off on a purchase until you get a chance to try it out. I want to see how the Vita feels by itself anyway first.

Just got it. The initial set up portion is frustrating. Finally have it downloading the system update now.

I like those trigger grips. It looks like it would make it feel a bit more like a 360 controller in terms of the overall fatness and back triggers.

I wonder how the triggers work, though. On the Vita the shoulder buttons are just a little "clicky," as in there is a threshold you have to cross to push them down (as opposed to the L2/R2 on the PS3, which just go down seamlessly). If this causes the same click, I wonder if it would still feel as effective, especially for shooters.

Makes me wish you could take your Vita to a store and ask to open a box just to try some of these things out.
