Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
I might purchase it next week or so, depending on reviews.
Best buy has a 6 month interest free offer. Those type of things grab my attention. Paying <$50 a month sounds better than dropping $250 in one shot! LOL.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Lumines is a fantastic puzzle game that has spawned a few sequels on PSP, PS2, and also is on XBL and PSN. Lumines is well known for its soundtrack that is used for each game too.

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Everytime I hear a song from a Lumines soundtrack it reminds of vacation. Lumines was my official "Hotel room, kids are trying to sleep, shut off the TV, put on the headphones, and play" game.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Of all the professions, after all, few people are less suited to be suddenly thrown into the public eye than chefs. We're used to doing what we do in private, behind closed doors.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
What gaming can you do over 3G, I thought that was restricted to like 200mb of web browser usage and stuff?
IMO all these commercials do is make people wonder what Vita means and do little to introduce the system. Too artsy, like the early PS3 floating in a white room commercials.
I wonder how many people will think it's just another minor PSP revision.Comment

Re: PSVITA Handheld Information
Gaming over 3G would be rough IMO - it's not always reliable, and I don't get much more than 1 MB down/400k up on my Sprint phone. In the rare cases where I've tried to use that connection on my PS3, games were like a slide show. It would hold the connection well enough for Near or whatever the Vita system's online component is, but I don't think the bandwidth would be there for intensive gaming. What gaming can you do over 3G, I thought that was restricted to like 200mb of web browser usage and stuff?

Any online gaming I do on the Vita would be over Wi-Fi for sure, unless the Vita games require far less bandwidth.
It's possible I'm just in a bad region for 3G though - does anyone else get faster speeds?Comment
