Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
I know it's been probably asked before in this long thread, but I'm undecided on whether to go full digital or keep purchasing physical games. I have enough games lying around in the home with 3 xboxes and 2 PS3. I'm thinking of adding the 32 GB memory card because going digital will be the way to go if someone can answer the following questions. Are all newly released games going to be available to be downloaded from the PSN store on February 22. Also, are future releases going to be available on PSN the same day they are released in the retail stores?Comment

Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion
For those who have played Hot Shots on the Vita:
1) I've read mix reviews but I would like to hear your thoughts on the difficulty and replay value. I prefer difficult games and in return that adds replay value.
2) How many courses and do they vary much?
3) Downloadable courses coming?
Thanks
On difficulty, it's typical standard fare Hot Shots - starts out easy and gets tougher as you move on. I beat the first 4 ranks with one of the two novice starting players (though the extra distance ball and my loyalty bonuses helped around the time I hit the 4th rank - I just barely won the 18 hole one with Yuna). Starting with the 5th course it's getting really challenging - I switched to one of the intermediate characters because the novices just couldn't hack it (at least not without going all Big Air equipment). Also, some of the special rules for challenge mode events can add more challenge to easier courses - there's a "Teeny cup" challenge where the hole is about as wide as the ball. There are no gimme's in that round!
For me, the replay value goes through the roof on this series in general - There's a ton of different ways you can play each course, by selecting different characters, equipment. And it never gets to the point where you'll be holing out every shot from the fairway - there's always enough variance in control that your shot won't always go exactly where you intend, even if you have perfect impact. Online play is sure to bring quite a bit of replay value too, it certainly did for me in Out of Bounds with the live tournaments. And then....there's trophies.
There appears to be 6 courses in the game, each with regular tees and a long tee mirror. They're unlocked for other modes as you progress through challenge mode - you'll see the item to unlock them appear in the store.
Speaking of unlocking, as is another Hot Shots custom, you unlock literally everything in this game. Clubs, balls, characters, courses, etc - you're notified of them becoming available when you finish rounds, and at that point you can purchase them in the store using the points you earned from your rounds.
No word on DLC courses yet, but I'd have to imagine they'll be coming eventually, (along with new characters).Comment
