            Guys,

Need a little help. Just got my Vita. Trying to set it up. When trying to set up my playstation network account, it gives me a screen saying a system software update is required and that I should update the system software and then link my account with the playstation vita.

My PS3 software is updated. Not sure what I am supposed to do. Do I have to update the Vita software? If so, how?

Your Vita will check for the update as long as you have a wi-fi connection.

Sounds like you're in that "loop" I had a problem with. If it's what I think it is go to listed link, it's an easy fix.

Yes the Vita needs an update. I found it in "settings" if I remember correctly.

Just start it up, use the trial mode. After the update, you'll be able to use your PSN account.

Just got a Vita, feel like I'm in over my head a little trying to figure all this out..lol.

So what was the consensus on the best screen protectors? Are those thin film types the only ones to choose from or are there different types? I want to keep the smudging to a minimum and I didn;t buy one yet, need to asap.

                          Thanks in advance.

Most seem to have the Sony screen protector, I have a Hori and like it quite a bit. As for type, not quite sure what other type of screen protector there might be.

Heads up Hot Shotters - with the PSN going down tomorrow we'll probably have to squeeze in our daily rounds before or after the maintenance. For me the only option is before, since I work tomorrow night. The day flips and the three new tournaments appear at 2AM Central each night, so I'll be doing some early morning golf!

Edit: Never mind, the maintenance period has been postponed.

I got the 3G because with then free memory card, the price difference is only $10. So why not.
