    Re: Sony PSVITA Discussion

Is there a way to delete a patch for a game, but keep the save files? There's a huge bug in MLB 14 The Show where, if you have the latest patch, the CPU will throw it's No. 1 pitch 99% of the time, and about 95% of the time for strikes. If you have API turned on, you'll be asked to throw your No. 1 pitch all game. Oh, and your camera settings for pitching don't save.

I deleted the game and didn't download the patch and everything worked normally.

I have a Season Mode file that I'm pretty far into and would like to co tines, but I can't play with that bug. So, if I can just delete the patch, I'll be good to go.

I bought an orange Vita off Amazon, and it should be here in a week or two. I got Hot Shots Golf and Rayman Legends to start with, but there are plenty others on my radar.

How are you liking it? The vita is so under appreciated.

Absolutely agree. It really is a great system. The levels to which Sony mismanaged the Vita is staggering. Sad that such great potential could not be capitalized upon.

Rayman Legends blew me away on how beautiful it looks and how great the gameplay is! That's really all I've played to this point because it's been so addicting. I've been very impressed with the Vita so far, although it's disappointing how badly Sony dropped the ball on the system.

Yes they dropped the ball. It made me realize the I can not support anything they make other than the main console. Psp, vita, pstv, ps move. Thats also why i never bothered with the VR. They gonna screw it up somehow.

I have said this for years and im not even a handheld guy. When Sony launched PS4 back in 2013 for $400 and Xbox One was $500 with Kinect, Sony should have had a PS4/Vita bundle for $500 and play up the remote play aspect as well as cross buy. Such a huge opportunity that they missed. Also, PSTV was crap. Seriously, that made Vita look like PS4 in comparison. The sad part is that instead of wasting money, time and resources on that garbage, they should have put all of that towards a new Vita with an HDMI out port and triggers while removing the back touch which was garbage. $200 would have sold me one on day one. And that's with their horribly overpriced SD cards. Oh well.

I have been debating on getting one. Does the remote play work away from the home network?

For me, playing away from house is hit or miss. But inside the house it works great, some game even have a re-mapping for Vita controls.

Yes, it's sad they really have stopped making games for it. But with Remote Play, it feels like we get new games all the time. If you have kids, wife, big family and they are using all the TVs in the house it's nice to still be able to play the PS4 remotely.

Just my opinion of course, but I am sure there is a lot of guys in here that believe the Vita was mishandled and had so much potential that never got tapped. Luckily Remote Play is keeping it alive.

Yup, unfortunately they aren't making AAA titles anymore, at least sport titles from what I've seen. Just bunch of indie games and jrpgs. BUT!! When I'm away from wifi, I create a hotspot on my phone and check out MUT auctions during lunch. I would recommend getting the L3/R3, L2/R2 Hori grip for remote play though, the back touch pad is hit or miss without it.

Games are playable outside of home network but depend on your connection speed obviously. I've played Madden, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and Nioh via remote play and had very little input lag.
