It's legit, they just sent the emails before the page was up. It looks fishy, but the people sending the email and such is a legit settlement distribution company.

Not sure what code on the box was the SIRIS number, so I guessed but my serial is there (both stickers on the bottom fell off within the first year)

If you guys do not have the stickers on your Vita anymore, like mine, you can plug your Vita into any computer and go under properties and it lists the serial number.

            Me too. What gives?

Is it because I sold it and someone else registered it???

Shouldn't I be eligible because I bought the Vita prior to the date? The info says nothing about having to still own it. Does anyone know?

I had a launch Vita, but I traded it in on the new model. I guess I'm hosed.

                  Actually you're not.

It doesn't require your serial number, just said it would expedite the process.

They know via your PSN account if you bought an original Vita. As long as you didn't return it (trading it in is okay), you qualify.

Man it's amazing to me that games I really enjoy on PS4 are so much better suited and play better on the Vita...games like Rogue Legacy, Hotline Miami, Spelunky, etc.

I'm really, really glad I'm in this ecosystem now...wish I had jumped in sooner and wish others would do the same. This thing is so criminally underrated.

The real gem on Vita for me was KillZone: Mercenary. Playing Warzone and being able to capture VAN-Guards with the touchscreen... awesomeness.

                            Are you sure about this?

Me selling mine privately is really the only explanation I can come up with for why I haven't recieved an email yet. I thought this was based on registration (because obviously the person I sold it too probably has it now attached to their PSN).

I hope you're right but then how come I haven't heard anything when so many other people have?

I got the email as well even though I traded my vita in at gamestop. I do have a vita slim still today so am not sure if that makes a difference. I didn't enter the serial number in the email since I do not remember it but i did get my vita at launch.

                                Thanks.

I've spent the last hour or so researching this (and printing out forms, calling Sony, etc).

The claimants need to have purchased a Vita Prior to June 1, 2012 and NOT have returned it for a full refund. That's it. It does not specify that you need to still be in possession of it. Only that you can provide the serial number and proof of purchase.

GameStop customer service was able to access my Powerup Rewards account and emailed me a PDF file of proof of purchase. This I printed out and will include in the claim. Unfortunately, the PDF does not have a GameStop letterhead on it (though it does include the manager's name and transaction number and store number) so I'll just have to cross my fingers they accept it.

If you call 1-800-410-5484 and wait (no joke!) through 10 minutes of prompts, you will eventually be allowed to speak to someone through Sony (I think!) that's handling these claims. Otherwise the number has plenty of automated FAQ's.

Vitaclaims.com is where you'll need to go to print the form.

My question was how does the $25 PSN credit get distributed? I asked customer service if I'd be mailed out a gift card or if the funds will be added automatically? This is because NOWHERE on the form does it ask you to tell them WHAT PSN wallet you want the funds added to, only an OPTIONAL line for you to fill out your PSN email address.

I'm concerned that if they distribute it digitally, and automatically based on serial number registration, the person I sold it too would get the funds (maybe I should pick the check! Lol).

A customer service rep told me to get me that answer they'd have to escalate it and that they'd call me back.
