I had both the A50 and the A40. I liked the A50 significantly more. Don't have to worry about the cords in the way.

Anyone use the Xbox One stereo headset ? My niece and nephew broke my glacier white Sony golds and just not interested in forking over another $80-$100 for another pair. Amazon has the Xbox One Stereo headset for $50 thinking bout getting them to use on both systems.
It’s easier to do the right thing, than to explain why you didn’t.

I believe the golds are on sale right on New Egg I believe for 50-60. Check that out before getting an inferior headset.

They are pretty decent for the value (though more so if you need an adapter as I did when I bought them a while back.) Fairly comfortable, I like that the boom mic folds up/is hidden if not chatting.

Anyone have the Logitech G933 headphones?

I'm seriously considering these as they have a stereo input for mixing other audio sources as I would then finally be able to listen to music while gaming on the Xbox One..

Finally used my new PS4 Gold headset last night. What a difference! Hearing things I've never heard before while playing. Very immersive. First time I've ever used a headset while gaming.

How do you like them? I'm looking for a new pair (I currently use TB Stealth 500x.)

I know they won't be exactly what I'm looking for (since what I want doesn't exist lol) but always down to check out other options if they get good reviews from others.

                        Gaming headsets

Well they sounded fantastic but the guys I played The Division said my mic wasn't too clear. That and the fact I wasn't able to use the auxiliary in to hook my phone up for music (you can on the PC or PS4 but not the Xbox One) I ended up taking them back. I love to play my own music in the background and have been trying to figure out a way to do that unsnapped on the Xbox One and thought the Logitechs were the answer but nope...

Also, not sure if it was a setting or what but I could not, for the life of me, get the microphone monitoring to work and that was just the final straw for me.

Picked up the Astro A50's and immediately tested that feature and I can finally listen to music on my Xbox One from my phone or iPad while I game on the Xbox One! Have to charge to test the mic online though so heavenly tested that yet.

the TB 500x that I have is capable of that fyi. since the chat is wireless, can use the aux cable to the phone for music. The 800x can do the same, and I believe it can also do bluetooth to your phone for a full wireless experience.

(annoys me to no end that there are only two models, 500x, 800x that are capable of wireless chat too, others require a cord to the controller, which is the reason why I avoided the Astro A50)

Wow, really? Those were at Best Buy as well and I looked on the box and couldn't find any reference to an auxiliary line in....I see they are $100 off on TBs website now but they were $299 at Best Buy...oh we'll, i going to see how these work and if I'm unhappy I'll get the 500s next.

The mic isn't very good and the sound is a bit worse than the a40s. Their customer service is also slow and not very helpful.

if i'm not mistaken they call it a mobile cable, both 500x and 800x come with it.

800x- supposedly sound better and has bluetooth too. i really wanted them but many have complained about the quality of the built in mic. i saved 100 and stuck with the 500 since the majority of the time i use them i'm in a party. waiting to see if tb will release a new model with bluetooth and a boom mic (and ideally retractable), until then i'll stick with the 500 or wait for a price drop on the 800.
