Many of the comments in here remind me of the reactions to the iPhone, or iPad... we all know how that turned out.

This system will be fine.

Picked one up today after dumping most of my games I hadn't played in quite a while. Also used coupon from Poweruprewards card points..then paid the difference.
Just got the system and no games. Will pick up one sometime later...

The game is fun Isn't it. Did I ever than you for all the fruit???
With No WII anylonger I'll certainly grab it for the 3DS.
Still have the GC version and a gamecube though

lol, yeah I was a little obsessed with that game for a year. I have never consistently played a game as long as I did Animal Crossing Wii. The only thing that worries me about the 3DS version is that I didn't play the DS version of AC that much. I played the GC version almost as much as the Wii, but I've never been one for handheld games, that's why I don't have a PSP. But like I said, I'll probably get a 3DS when AC comes out, I just can't resist lol.

I LOVED Animal Crossing on the GC! After a couple days I'm still not sure on whether I want to pick up the 3DS or not. Anybody have any clue on when the red one will be released? That one is sexy! lol

I tried the 3DS again today at BBY, the 3D is just bothersome at even the lower levels for me. The graphics do look like the PSP's, a bit much cleaner from what I saw on Pilotwings. That 3D can ruin people's eyes on this thing if not used properly.

A student of mine brought his in yesterday, and I am blown away by the 3D they were able to do in that little thing. He showed me one of the AR games and it's mind-boggling.

I just want to get one now to play...and I'm not a big handheld guy. Problem is, the wife and I each have a DS Lite that just sits around. She doesn't play her's at all now that she has an iPod touch. Not too keen on paying $250 for it, though.
