It really should have been designed with a second circle pad to begin with. The CPP just fragments the market and devs can't rely on it. It's not a big issue with way most of the games are designed, but controllable cameras in 3D games is beneficial, and this has been known for a long time. I was turned off by the camera controls in the demos for Monster Hunter, Kingdom Hearts, and Resident Evil. If I played either of those, I would need to get the CPP.

Animal Crossing has no need for the CPP.

It does for those that would like to move with RS instead of LS.

Agree but like Kingdom Hearts they could just put the option in settings for CPP on/off.

I wonder how much it'd cost to upgrade to the XL? Probably have to trade in to Gamestop or Best Buy. Anyone who's done it recently have an idea? I'd like the bigger screen, and I'd be trading in the CPP too.

Maybe after the honeymoon before the trip to Europe I can justify it lol I can probably find some games to trade in to help cover it.

Right now you can trade in the 3DS for 80.00. Regularly 50.00 buy right now you get an extra 30.00.
I was close to doing it but know I'd regret getting rid of my Zelda 3DS.

How much would I get for a DSi? I've got over 60 in store credit plus a coupon for $25 off any item at GameStop, so that would get me pretty close if the trade was decent.

Hmmmmm....I don't have time this week lol, but I'll have to think about it in 2 weeks. I like the 3DS enough, and it's not going away anytime soon. Maybe look into the Animal Crossing bundle or something. Then I'm paying 100ish for a bigger screen (Since I'd be getting AC for 40 normally anyways).

Not sure I like that system design though, ugh. Need to think about this more.

                        How to transfer between systems

                        Seems simple to transfer too!

I hate you guys. Now I'm busy thinking about how I can upgrade lol.

I'm probably going to get together all my Wii stuff and trade it in (after I give my mom what she'll use for her Wii).

Will Gamestop let you transfer from one system to another if you're trading them in? Or do I have to buy the XL and then trade my regular one in later? I have money, so can do it that way, but just usually try to limit the cost of my gaming as much as I can...

Unless you can find your own Wi-Fi solution, you will probably have to buy the XL, then do the transfer, and return to trade-in your 3DS and get the difference refunded. It's probably best to call and ask though.

I don't know a single game where you control the character with the right stick. The industry standard is control with the left stick.

I have no problem with options but I can't see too many people putting in the effort to make that option commonplace.
