Re: Nintendo 3DS
Based on Yen conversions, about $180 and $160 respectively.
Obviously that's not a perfect translation but seems reasonable and accurate.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I just bought my XL a month ago and will purchase the new 3DS when it arrives next year. This thing is looking like the DSi.

Re: Nintendo 3DS Announced
Exclusives such as Xenoblade Chronicles for the "new 3DS" will only work on the new model due to having more CPU power and double the RAM of the current 3DS.Comment

I'm not sure why the C-stick is so small. Odd design choice there. I do like the homage to the SNES with the button coloring; maybe that means we'll see more SNES games show up in the eShop. The extra shoulder buttons have me intrigued as well.Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I'm waiting to see what games they'll make exclusive to the new 3DS. On one hand I can't see them putting out Pokemon or a new Mario game on just the new one, but then again if Nintendo isn't going to make games exclusive to the new one, who will? 3rd parties sure won't since they'll be going after the largest market share.
I still think its weird for Nintendo to release this given the poor sales numbers they've had over the past few years with hardware. Why fragment your market more, especially with the release schedule for good 3DS games slowing down to a near crawl this fall and early next year. The only ones I'm even looking forward to are Project STEAM and maybe Persona Q.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment

Speaking of that backlog, I'm almost done with Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon. Trying to decide between Bravely Default and Fire Emblem Awakening for my next game.Currently Playing:

Re: Nintendo 3DS
With my current backlog, I won't be in a rush to buy a new 3DS in the event more games are released specifically for that handheld.

This isn't even a choice. Fire Emblem is one of the 3 best games on the system. Period.Comment

Re: Nintendo 3DS
I tried Fire Emblem, but it's not my style RPG at all.
I'll play devil's advocate here and suggest Bravery Default. The game is simply amazing. The story isn't too complex and there are a few head shaking/laughing moments at the dialogue, but from top to bottom it's going to finish Top 3 in my RPG favorites, behind Legend of Dragoon and FF7.
It takes about 5 hours or so of game time to really get things going, but once it gets going it's a lot of fun.
Those new 3Ds are pretty sexy, but it's nowhere near worth an upgrade for me right now. With the way Nintendo operates with their handhelds, I'll never have the newest and most up to date anything and that's perfectly fine with me. My 3DS XL performs just fine.Last edited by AUChase; 09-04-2014, 09:37 AM.Comment
