This is over the top awesome!!! Playstation really stepped up their game with this one.

Funny thing...I was inches away from buying Just Cause and Infamous 2 like 3 days ago. Glad i went went all cheap the other day.

My 89gb left on my 320 HDD is going to be eaten up now with all these freebies. LOL! Maybe time to start looking at tossing in a 500gb HDD.

That's what I did when I bought my slim. Slapped in a 500GB 7200RPM HDD before I even connected it. These freebies are definitely a good chunk of space.

I just looked, and I have 164 games (PS3/2/One/minis) , 8 interactive media/viewers, 41 Demos, and 12 Qore episodes on my HDD.

Can a SSD be slapped in a slim?

I have 35 gigs worth of games queued up: Infamous 2, Just Cause 2, Saints Row 2, Ratchet & Clank.

This might take several months to download, but it's still awesome to get all of this for free.

I started Infamous 2 last nigh and it's only at 75% after 9 or 10 hours. I'm sure the servers are getting slammed.

Just curious if anyone knows the economics behind how and why they offer these big titles for free. Do the publishers get kickbacks on PS Plus subscriptions?

I started about 9 last night and in 12 hours it got through 2 videos (not sure how big they were, LBP vita trailer and Beyond trailer), LBP 2 and 30% of R&C All 4 One. So that's probably 12-ish GB and that works out to roughly 25% of my connection being used.

I did switch my DNS servers earlier (I have U-verse and their DNS servers suck, you can't even watch youtube with their servers) and seemed to see a significant jump in speeds, but that could have been temporary or simply an effect of reconnecting to download servers.

I started downloading Ratchet, Infamous, Sideway and Laura Croft at 11pm last night, and they were all completed when I woke up at 6:30 this morning.

I'm sure the non-Sony publishers get incentives (either monetary or publishing fee waivers) for allowing these digital downloads. The majority are published by Sony, so they already have your PS+ membership monies, and the digital download is relatively cheap for them outside of server costs.

How big was inFamous 2? It seems like it'd be in the 15GB range. I opted to keep my disc version of that and LBP2.

What's so great is that people get to experience this series for free, sans Festival of Blood. Unfortunately I bought them day 1, but still not disappointed.

How big was inFamous 2? It seems like it'd be in the 15GB range. I opted to keep my disc version of that and LBP2.

Infamous 2 is a 15 gb download, LBP2 is around 7.5 gb.

Thanks for the heads up. Store doesn't update here in the UK till about 6pm, and I have only 24GB remaining on my 250GB HDD. Clean up time!
