Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
I had a PS3 earlier this year but somehow couldn't buy anything on it because I couldn't activate it from the 5 activation rule.To get around that, can i just create a different name and will that allow to me activate my ps3 if i were to get another one?Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
Do you have any old/unused PS3's that you want deactivated, by chance? You can always contact Sony about getting your name off those ones.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
Actualy Blzer, you don't have to do that anymore. You can now just go to Sony's website, deactivate all your systems, and then log back in on the ones you want activated.
I just did this about 3 weeks ago.Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
To do this...
- Go to:
http://store.playstation.com/login.gvm - Click on "Manage Your Account"
- This will take you to the Sony Entertainment Network Account Page.
- Log in with your PSN login and click on the "Account" tab at the top.
- Now click on the "Media and Devices" option on the left side of the window.
- In the square that says "Games", click on the downward arrow below (or anywhere in the square) where it lists how many PlayStation systems you have activated.
- Now click on the button that says "Deactivate All".
- Read the message carefully and click "OK".
All PS3 and PSP devices are now deactivated.
Now log onto your working PS3 or PSP and activate it as normal.Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
If you follow the instructions I posted above, it deactivates ALL systems, not just the ones you currently own. Once you do that, then simply log back in on the systems you want reactivated.Comment
