Revenge of Shinobi ... Nice! Loved that game when it was first released.

Is the first Shinobi game available on PSN? Don't recall seeing it.

I can't wait until PSPlus comes to the Vita; it'd be easy money for SCEA to make deals like they have for the PS3 available on Vita for the cost of the Plus membership.

Any word if PSN will eventually update more popular PS2 games? I would love to get back to some old RPGs (Xenosaga, FFXII, Suikoden) that I missed. Seems like they would sell like crazy.

I LOL'd at $30 versions of WoF and Jeopardy. What is THQ smoking?

Definitely going to check out the Battle Royale beta for Vita.

Corpse Party sequel coming for PSP this winter, with the first game on sale for $10 for the next two weeks.

Corpse Party on PSP. What more can you say about it? In my previous PlayStation.Blog entries, I’ve likened it to horror classics such as Clock Tower and Fatal Frame. I’ve talked about how it’s one of the creepiest, most effective horror games I’ve ever played, and how its unique visuals, its 3D binaural audio and [...]

And yes, the first Corpse Party works fine on Vita.

bc, I think those are the new full versions with the actual Pat, Vanna, and the voice over guy vs. the previous version which was very bare bones.

I guess over at IGN, they're running something where they give you a code for a 30-day Trial of Playstation Plus, plus a second code for a friend. You can use both codes if you want.

All you have to do is link your account with Facebook, Google+ or a third one I don't remember because it won't show me when I go to the link since it already gave me my codes:

Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.

Guess maybe there's not a group on here like I've seen on other forums so maybe that why it hasn't been posted, but with update 4.3 tomorrow, Folding@home on PS3 is being retired.

Next Tuesday, October 23rd, we will be releasing a new system software update for PlayStation 3 (version 4.30). With this update we have made several changes to how Trophies are displayed on your PlayStation 3. The Trophy Collection will now reside under PlayStation Network on the XMB. Trophies that you have earned playing PlayStation Vita [...]

We’d like to thank the more than 15 million users that have participated in the program since it started on PS3 in 2007. PS3 users have donated in total more than 100 million computation hours to the Folding@home project to date, and as a result, contributing greatly to Stanford University’s Alzheimer ’s disease research. Considering the contribution PS3 has made to the project, we decided to retire it as a result of discussions with Stanford University.

Folding@home was pretty cool. I'm glad Sony got to partner with Stanford for that, and I'm glad I contributed. Never joined a team though.

Yeah, I skimmed the last page or so but didn't realize it was posted in it's own thread, grabbed quote and link from another site and linked to source instead of the site. . Oops.

The class action lawsuit related to the PSN breach of 75m passwords was thrown out today.

Get full-length product reviews, the latest news, tech coverage, daily deals, and category deep dives from CNET experts worldwide.

The class action lawsuit that Battaglia dismissed was filed in June of last year and alleged that Sony "failed to follow basic industry-standard protocols to safeguard its customers' personal and financial information, thereby creating foreseeable harm and injury to the Plaintiff class."

Battaglia ruled, however, that these plaintiffs' motives in going after Sony were unjustified. According to Courthouse News, he said Sony was not in violation of California consumer-protection laws or guilty of bailment charges.

"None of the named plaintiffs subscribed to premium PSN services, and thus received the PSN services free of cost," Battaglia said, according to Courthouse News. "Plaintiffs freely admit, plaintiffs' personal information was stolen as a result of a criminal intrusion of Sony's Network. Plaintiffs do not allege that Sony was in any way involved with the data breach."

Additionally, Battaglia said Sony couldn't be fully responsible for the hack. "There is no such thing as perfect security," he said, according to The Register. "We cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us."

The plaintiffs now have until November 9 to decide if they want to file an amended complaint.

After the security breach and the several lawsuits filed against Sony, the company added a controversial change to its Terms of Service and User Agreement in September 2011. Under the revised terms, consumers now must waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit filed after August 20, 2011 against the gaming and content delivery portion of Sony .
