Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning

Does anybody know if Portal 2 is going to stay at $20 from now on, or will it be hiked back up soon? I'd love to buy it on the cheap, but I really don't want to spend money on anything unnecessary.

Not that Portal 2 is unnecessary, but I would rather buy it in the future when I have more room to breathe even though it's just $20.

Both are $60, so which should I get?

PS3 controller + Ratchet and Clank(advertised as 3 full games)

      OR

PS3 controller + God Of War Saga(advertised as 5 full games)

I'm kind of a mark for Ratchet and Clank, but that God of War set (if it is 5 games I will pick it up) is just an incredible deal.

Don't know if USA has the deal though.

          But this is the game:

Based on whats said on there, seems like the 5 games are:
          GoW1(HD)
          GoW2(HD)
          GoW3
          Chains of Olympus
          Ghost of Sparta

We do, the new controller+game bundles are God of War collection that you listed, ratchet and Clank Collection (the three PS2 HD remakes), and Infamous Collection (Infamous 1&2).

God of War Saga is the better bundle monetarily as well as having the most content, the other two can be had standalone for under $30 where GoW Saga is still $40.

The store I called, said that they had both Ratchet/Clank and GoW packages, so hopefully when I go on Wednesday, it's still there.

Along with the 5 games on GoW stuff, there's also 6 month free PS+. Which makes me wonder...when should I use that 6 month thing? I'm thinking maybe mid-late December. Cause then the 6 months would include the winter holidays, and even summer as well. And PS might give out discounted stuff for PS+ people around holidays too.

It's only 1 month of free PS+ GOW Saga and it seems like not all the boxes have the free 1 month. Make sure it says it on the back of the box.

lol ya, it was only 1 month. Don't know where I saw 6 months....

Though if it is just 1 month...when should I use it then? Still thinking probably mid-December? Since my holidays start on the 14th.

Hold onto it until there's something you want, but remember that free stuff only lasts as long as you have PS+.

Looks like LBP2 and Infamous 2 are both available for free with PS+. I might just do that over the holidays since I'd have lots of time.

You can download the Crackle app NOW on the PS Store, and there is a Vita app coming soon!

Crackle (formerly known as Grouper) is a digital network and studio, featuring commercially supported streaming video content in Flash Video format. It is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, and its content consists primarily of Sony's library of films and television shows. Crackle provides its content through a web syndication network, including YouTube, Hulu, AOL, MySpace, and mobile service providers. Although advertised as "uncut," that statement refers to the content being uncensored. All streaming video is interrupted throughout with commercial advertisements, similar to watching a film on broadcast television.

Is there anything worth watching on Crackle, though? I have the app on my 360 and the few times I looked at it, all I saw was a bunch of Anime and a handful of episodes from Seinfeld and other TV shows.

Turns out, in order to use the PS+ thing, you need to enter credit card info! If you don't cancel PS+ trial after 29 days, they'll charge you $18 for the next 3 months!

Anyone want the 1 month PS+ code(only if you can pay me on paypal for it)
