Personally I'm kind of torn, I like what both have to offer. I like all the physical stuff, but with digital you wouldn't have to worry about things going out of print or being hard to find. I also thing that, overall, it would be better for the industry. They could also still do all the physical stuff to appease retailers (they still do need them to sell hardware and such), having them sell boxes with a download code (and another plus, if they are just selling a box with a manual in it maybe the manual would be worth looking at).

I like having physical media. I kind of "collect" games. At least the AAA titles anyway.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. I do have a couple 1st place bowling trophies. Oh, and I have a pie eating contest trophy I won with my dad when I was 12. Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
PlayStation Store Update
Hi Everyone -
We say goodbye to 2011 with one last PlayStation Store update; just in time for those looking to warm the winter nights with some great content from PlayStation Network.
New PSN Games this week include All Zombies Must Die. This twin-stick shooter is taken to lofty new heights with a bevy of RPG features, four player co-op and optional PlayStation Move support. You’ll also want to check out Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD. This remake of the influential original puts you in the shoes of the High Plains Drifter with an all new coat of paint that you won’t want to miss.
The Splinter Cell HD Collection released earlier this year, but it’s now broken up into individual games. Want to pick up only one title in the trilogy? Now you can. The original Trilogy bundle is of course, still available, and may stand as the better deal should you wish to purchase all three.
Two great new additions in the PS3 Full Game category are also arriving this week. For an amazing gaming experience for all ages, you can now download Carnival Island, playable with PlayStation Move. Packed with a ton of great games and activities, you’ll be amazed how it uses the Move controller to create an entirely new sense of immersion. Motorstorm Apocalypse arrives as well, where you’ll race in an almost completely abandoned city that offers the perfect playground for MotorStorm’s electric brand of brutal street racing.
That’s it for the year! From everyone at PlayStation, thank you for a wonderful 2011, and we look forward to sharing more amazing experiences only available on PlayStation Network in 2012!

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
I picked up Carnival Island for 29.99 on Black Friday. Still haven't opened it yet while I finish up some other games but I'm looking forward to checking it out. I love carnival games as it is, as do my kids.
Also, I started Back to the future and I must say the disc version doesn't do the game justice when it comes to episodic content.
The way they finish each episode leaves you with a cliff hanger, it would have been great to wait until the next release to get back going again but with the disc you can just move on to the next episode.
So I'm thinking I'm going to play each episode weekly and try to promote that anticipation factor you would get if you had to wait.
The game is crap as far as controls go but I really enjoy the story telling.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Re: Playstation Network and Discussion - The New Beginning
The only way I'd be fine with digital games is if they cost around $30 at release. I trade in or sell almost all my games when I'm done with them and buy a lot used, so if it went all digital I wouldn't be able to get nearly as much games. $60 for a game you can't sell or trade in when you're done is a ripoff, especially since it doesn't cost them anywhere close to the amount it does for a physical game.Follow me on Twitter: @ADice15Comment

PS+ Members to get Back to the future free.
Sony has provided a look at what's in store for PS Plus members during January, and the deals start this week Back to t…
Wish I would have waited now. although for the 12 dollars I spent on the disc version it's been well worth it.Originally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon.
