Never played the series. I downloaded the demo (for the first on maybe?) about a week ago and just never got around to it. This is even better.

Finally got around to installing Just Cause 2 (Freebie a while back for + members), Any good?
It's funny I was thinking, "I need a new story to get in to." So I was looking on the PS store and remembered all the freebies I've been hoarding but haven't downloaded. Resident Evil 5, Just Cause 2, Infamous 2, Uncharted Vita! I have so many in the hopper it's ridiculous.
So anyway on to JC2. How is it?

Would love to hear more about JC2, that's one I have installed but haven't dug into yet.

I'll tell you what, though, Infamous 2 is even better than the original, which I loved. So much to do, graphics are miles above the first installment, and the new powers are awesome.

I must say the goodies on PSN+ compared to XBL Gold are far better. Sucks XBL doesn't have stuff like this. Much rather have this than the sacred cross game chat.

Cross game chat really isn't that big of an issue to me anymore. I talk on Skype a lot to friends while we play. Easy enough.

Just Cause 2 is easily in my most underrated top ten this gen. Beautiful and fun as hell. Think of it as a poor man's Far Cry 3.

yeah, Just Cause 2 is one of my Favorites this gen too. it's so stupid yet so fun and the open world in it is so polished. easy 100 plus hours if you want to grind it.

I love the voice acting, it is so bad, it makes me laugh. Rico falls out of an airplane, you open his chute he tumbles down a mountainside 300 yards, and says "sheesh" when he finally stops moving. Love those little crazy moments.

I see the Mass Effect trilogy is available. Weighs in at close to 34GB! Not sure if I want to commit to all 3 games, so I'll probably just buy the first one and see how that is. It looks like a game I would enjoy, even if I'm not much of an RPG guy.

The only thing I didn't care for in ME1 is the all the duplicate weapon mod pickups. I was always having an issue of too much stuff that I couldn't pick up new stuff. That was fixed in the next two games. ME2 is my favorite of the three, definitely a top 3 game of all time, maybe number one.

I loved the Mass Effect 2. I almost got the platinum but didn't want to go through another playthrough. I'll be picking this set up for sure. I can go through 1, then go through and clean up the rest of the trophies in 2.

Something's up with the hard drive, or the stuff stored on it. Only a couple of games that required very little HDD access (like Sonic and Retro City) are loading and working properly. No disc games are and most of the downloadable ones aren't - they all hang when the game is trying to load data.

Deleting game data stored on the PS3 and a database rebuild did nothing, so I'm doing a full system restore. Deactivated the system and copied what I wanted to save over to the cloud before starting it. Says it's going to be about 9 hours to finish.

I'm hopeful that might fix it because the system still boots up fine, no errors or anything there. The problems only start when I start up games, so it could just be corrupted game data or something.
