It appears that outside of Nintendo that talks about ps3 and xbox consoles might not be happening. I think it is brilliant on Microsoft's part. They realize they have us (the hardcore gamers), they want the Wii audience and by the looks of some of games, I would think they are doing a good job of capturing the "family" market. Disney, Sesame Street, the other goofy Kinect stuff.

Nothing exciting for us, but seems like good business sense.

They are happening, just no rush to get them to the market. 2 Years max.

Right, not what I meant to say. That there are no immenent plans to bring out a console. 2 years is in eternity for a console.

Considering that this doesn't crush the other two graphically, and essentially is the same... Nintendo did the other two a big favor in a sense.

Can say the same thing about Sony, shove 3DTV and Move down your throat.

I agree with this. They just bought Sony and Microsoft extra time.

I am stoked for Halo 4, we all knew it was inevitable... but Halo just is not Halo without the Chief and Cortana.

                        WOW....

Looking to buy your next phone, laptop, headphones, or other tech gear? Or maybe you just want to know all of the details about the latest products from Apple, Samsung, Google, and many others. The Verge Reviews is the place for all of that and more. Whether you’re looking for buying advice, how to use products you already own, or the best deals on products we’ve tested and used ourselves and can recommend, you needn’t look any further.

What Reggie showed on stage was the PS3 and 360 versions. So umm, now I want to know exactly what the Wii U is capable of. Since all of the stuff they showed was 360 and PS3 versions.

I must say that is very misleading showing off all those games but none of them were running on Wii U tech.

The CPU is apparently a true generational jump over the ps3/360. They could only show 360/ps3 ports off because that's what the third parties are making right now. It's still over a year away, and who knows if it ever really gets anything beyond token support. Nintendo will have some meaty showcase stuff for it next e3 though.

If the CPU is really that good, then that's what they should've shown. There's no reason for nintendo to not have anything showing off what the system can do and it makes no sense for them not be ready to tell the specs or talk about anything other than the controller.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
