Very good points. It was reported earlier today that the Pro's sales have been very low and very slow. It's a niche market, which has diehards but had to push a $400/500 refresh with the same games but perform or look better to the average consumer.

I feel you on the console purchases though...i want a Switch, but it is tough to keep trying to budget to upgrade and all that...

maybe I'll be able to flip a regular Xbox One to a Scorpio with some deal, who knows.
Well this makes all the sense, as most know I always support MS, and will always. I always get the new consoles, I just got a PS4 Pro and I'm happy with it and my Xbox one S. Yes Scorpio is going to be more Powerful, but like others said, its all about the games and that's all that will matter in the end. I really don't care about recycled ONE S and 360 games playing and looking better, I want more first parties titles in the end. So It may not be a day one purchase for me. s long as Sony keeps pushing first party games out, they win not matter what.

My assumption is same thing will happen with the Scorpio. It's a hardcore gamer's console. By hardcore I mean most with a Xbox One won't want to upgrade.

I on the other hand will and am excited to see this new tech.

This would give you more reasons to purchase vs. a PS4 Pro though...Still good points. I personally don't think the PS4 Pro did that much more, so can understand why it'd have slow sales. No 4k Bluray player, a bit better graphics but not killer. Scorpio would be native 4k, but still a niche market. MS is hoping that all the spec heads who killed the One before will jump on I think.

I would agree. I've said it before, I don't see the point of the Pro. The Scorpio is a much beefier machine which comes presumably at a price.

Yep, and it's all about games now. You're a perfect example of this...you went with the better 1st party games this gen. MS lost you for that reason. Can they regain people, or get more to upgrade? Make it worth it?

This E3 they have to realize games are necessary or they'll just lag behind forever.

This is what they are going for I think. Only people who need to have the best will purchase this thing. They have said stuff a long these lines from the start. It's a premium console angled toward a buyer that wants a premium experience.

your so right man, but again, I love MS no doubt, but if I'm paying more money for a more powerful reboot system, you better be making more first party games.

You can have the most powerful system in the world, but if your not making games to utilize that nice powerful system, whats the point.

I'm worried about the games they are making. Every first party exclusive on XB1 other than Gears 4, Forza Horizon and Sunset Overdrive was forgettable. I need Microsoft to show some diversity and a rise in quality when it comes to first party support before I even flirt with the idea of buying one of these. If they do that I will eventually upgrade from my current XB1.

The extra processing power in standard 3rd party games will make a difference, ask anyone who has played NBA2K17 with 4K HDR on PS4 Pro vs. Xbox-S, no comparison.

This is where I'm at. There are 3 Microsoft exclusives I'm interested in at the moment and I just have to figure more are coming. Then when you factor in every single third party game will be at its best on this console I can't pass it up. Some of this thinking is directly impacted by the Pro too. Without it I may not have noticed how big of a difference an upgraded console can make.

Probably right but it should, pack in games alter consumer perception of value to a large degree, cost the company very little to add in and are especially useful in selling higher end hardware, which this is.
