Re: Xbox One
This policy, backwards compatibility and the S console at launch and I would have owned an XB1 over a PS4 this gen. They are absolutely killing it on all fronts. Just wonder if it's too little too late for this gen.
Seems one company always gets cocky near the end of a gen. We saw it with PS2 to PS3 and now 360 to One.

Re: Xbox One
I fear for some reason that Sony won't be BC due to that stupid PS Now. Guess we will see how things pan out. Sony is killing it with exclusives right now, but MSFT is making strides in other areas and service offers.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Pretty much agree with this. Sony spent a whopping $380M on Gaikai which is what they use for their streaming service. Future wise, I see Microsoft going all digital and Sony going all streaming. Not any time soon but maybe by 2030 when the internet speeds and services all good everywhere.Comment

Re: Xbox One
The thought is that they're thinking towards next-gen and blurring the lines. While Sony's killing them in sales, the Xbox is still selling really well...not like it's the Wii U or something. If they come up with a killer strategy they'll force Sony to adapt or start to lose some people.
Microsoft staying connected to Xbox One has it's positives and negatives but their next "upgrade" must have a far better CPU because a customized Jaguar isn't going to suffice in three to four years from now.Comment

I always tend to buy my multiplatform games on the stronger console. I don't think it's too late, but it might be. I myself will be making the transition back to Xbox once the Scorpio comes out. MS needs to start bringing more exclusives to the console though because this is one area I feel Sony is killing them.

Still not sure I'm willing to swing back to MS because I'm quite vested in this gen already with my PS4 Pro and my PS4 Slim. It's a hassle changing over console brands. I really disliked the whole transition from the 360 to the PS4.
I'm not going back to the dual console days. I did that with 360 and PS3 but not with PS4 and XB1.Comment

Yea they're definitely killing them in exclusives and sales but I def like the direction they're headed.

Yea I hear you. I did the same. I did the transition from 360 to PS4 and most of my friends were on the 360. Eventually some of my online buddies went to the PS4 as well, but the majority of my friends are on the Xbox so I'll see how it goes. I barely use my Xbox now unless it's for 4k blu rays or forza.
I just like how MS continues to add stuff and update the console. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with Xbox being behind the PS4, but I like it. I also feel Xbox offers a little more as far as EA Access being able to play games a week early is big. I always do both consoles because I enjoy exclusives on both so for me it's hard to just stick to one. I think what I'll do is play most of the multiplatforms on the Scorpio.
