Since I already paid for XBox Live and EA Access, I'll stay away from another monthly/yearly membership. That being said, it seems like a pretty good deal.

EA Access has been amazing though. Every time I get sad I traded in my PS4 (really miss The Show), I think of how great EA Access has been for me and my kids. My boys have put in hundreds of hours on Plants vs. Zombies 2, and we've also played quite a few of the EA Sports titles too.

Alpha update to the fast ring (note: Mixer was formerly known as Beam):

Profile
When a signed in user is selected in the Guide, the e-mail address associated with their account will now display under their profile, as well as on Home. This feature is enabled by default for adult accounts, and disabled for child accounts (child accounts will never see the e-mail address associated with their account displayed).

Adult accounts can disable this feature by navigating to Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey.

Mixer Co-streaming
You can now invite a friend to combine their game broadcast with yours! Sign in with an account that has an Xbox Live Gold subscription and invite a friend to your party. Once you’ve begun broadcasting your game from the Guide, you’ll be able to select “Invite party to co-stream” from the Party tab. Co-streaming is currently available only to Alpha Insiders, so we’d suggest using the Insider forums to sync up with other Alpha Insiders to test out this feature.

Controller Linking
Signing into your Xbox account can now be done with a click of the Xbox button thanks to the new controller linking feature! You can now link an account to a specific controller by opening the Guide, navigating to Settings > Account > Sign-in, security & passkey and selecting the “This controller signs in…” option followed by “Link controller.” From there, test the feature out for yourself by signing out of your account and then turning your controller off and then back on.

I wonder how Mixer co-streaming works. Who's screen do you see, would be useful for things like PVP franchise games in Madden maybe?

So I watched my first 4K Blu Ray (Logan) and i have to say it didn't look 4K at all. I thought maybe I was missing a setting, but couldn't find anything.

Is this just basically that the system isn't a great 4K Blu Ray player?

Its definitely not as good as a more expensive 4k player. It gets the job done though. Are you running through a receiver that doesn't support 4k by any chance?

It's an average player, it won't play as good as the Sony or Oppo player for sure.

As what Ricky and Scott said it's not as good as a stand alone player but it gets the job done. I have to think something on your end was off. I've watched a handful of 4k discs and they look beautiful.

Nothing has looked as good as Amazon and Netflix 4k. My only 4k physical movie is The Martian though.

That's interesting. I have deadpool and magnificent 7 and they look so much better than Netflix 4k as far as their shows go. If I'm watching a nature thing on Amazon it looks better but I think the nature stuff just translates better.

Specifically the nature stuff on Netflix and The Grand Tour on Amazon, were what I was referring to. Don't watch a ton of 4k content at the moment so YMMV maybe?
