This. Will be great for my son getting tons of free games that'll be new to him. Also like the mindset that going forward there'll always be BC, something Sony may skip since they bash BC so much now.

Also, I don't think adding BC took away from 1st party games. It's not like they take that money and resources and pour it into BC. Maybe they could have worked on other technical/OS based issues instead of BC, but those people would not have worked on a game.

IMO, MS has tried to invest in 1st party games and has just done a horrible job as of late (Fable, the dragon game, Phantom Dust 2 all cancelled)...They put their money in the wrong spots and with games you can't just recover immediately. My guess (again, my GUESS) is that they've invested in other places now and the fruits of that will be seen at some point when they're ready.

See, now I'm insulted...only 48 paragraphs??? I was thinking at least 65. LOL.

Also, didn't Sony push Playstation Now really hard, streaming PS3 and PS1 games at an expensive price? Yet now they bash playing old games in different ways? Just interesting...

Yeah. That's my main gripe with the way they comment on BC. It's a slap in the face to their customers.

"Nobody wants to play those old games"

"Pay us to play old games"

Not only that but they're adding PS4 games and bringing it to Windows. That very well may be the only way I play Sony games in the future, an occasional PS+ subscription to get a fix/scratch an itch and skip their consoles.

My view on the bc argument is it is an option and the percent of time using it is irrelevant. I'm betting a game like halo wars 2 had a small percent of total time also so should they stop making those games?

              No.

Options are always good to have. Doesn't matter if you use them or not. I don't play all the exclusives but having the option to play them is always a positive.

I love boxing and the games I miss a lot were the fight night games. I'd still play it and I for one love BC. My 6 year old has a blast playing a lot of the older 360 games. We shouldn't complain about having options.

Fight Night with McGregor and Mayweather on the cover.... Get one of them to announce it, say have Connor come out to talk about the UFC gaming franchise and it ends up being boxing. That'd fun.

Unless that fight happens and it sucks horribly before the game released lol.

Yea the games weren't sim but I used to have a blast playing online with some of my buddies. EA has completely abandoned boxing and now only does UFC which is sad to me.

I can't read all those long posts , anyway Xbox One X it is and $499 I guess I was expecting that price . Little pricey for my liking for a mid console update.

I'll be preordering for sure. Not sure where I'll be doing so though. I got a OneS to trade in and possibly another Xbox one.

499 is what I was expecting also.

Five ****ing hundred dollar console eh?

                              Hmm.

I was thinking between 5 and 6 hundred. 399.99 seemed too low.

Yeah, we're barely using our second Xbox, so considering the same move.
