Netflix is always HD unless it's an old show like MacGyver, etc. Barely watch any actual TV so none of it really applies to me. The last program I watched on TV was the Super Bowl. When I rent movies on PSN, it's always SD simply because for an hour or two, it's not worth it for me to spend an extra $5 especially if I end up disliking the movie. Of course, I haven't rented a movie in months since im not really a movie guy. More into watching TV shows on Netflix. Any movie that I really want to watch and pumped for, I just buy the DVD. Bought Logan and on June 13th, John Wick Chapter 2. Last movie I bought was Mad Max on September 1st, 2015 so im sure you can see why I don't bother watching in 4K despite having the TV since last September. Games are a different story. Now, I want 4K and HDR but that's also because I know the game will most likely be anywhere from 10 to 120 hours depending on the game.

Game Pass is live, Gold Members can join today, everyone else on 6/1. Really nice for $10/mo, especially for people new to the ecosystem.

Wow that's really awesome.. didn't know they're doing this.

I also like the fact that they're making it available to people who don't have a Gold membership to be able play these games (to play online you do, of course).

Like you said it's great for new Xbox owners and just in general for people to have a nice cache of games to play for a very reasonable price.

Just activated my free trial. Never played the golf club so now seems like a decent time to give it a shot.

Agree and years after EA Access started, im still shocked that other publishers haven't done the same thing yet.

Not really interested in any of the games. EA Access is keeping busy anyway.

In case anyone didn't see it but Fallout 4 is free to play this weekend. I know I plan on checking it out to see if I want to buy it down the road.

Yeah, I think the program is cool, but I'm not seeing the games that will drive me to pay $120 a year. EA Access is only $60, and it nets me other features I like, like early access and 10% discounts on what I buy from EA.

If it easy enough to grab for a month, I can see using it as a rental service from time to time. But right now, I have almost 80 games on my HD, and another 120 Ready to download. I don't need another batch of games.

It will be worth checking out going forward, though. The value proposition may change.

Me neither, but I buy and rent games. I really think this would be a lot better for someone just starting out with very little to play. Then, wow it's a fantastic deal.

This will sell like hotcakes come Christmas when people are buying their kids new Xboxs and don't want to spend a bundle on games.

I think this is great for people new to Xbox. Obviously us who have a large backlog already (myself) are not going to use it.

The best thing for me is getting extra games that my kids can play.

I agree with those saying this is better for new owners, which of course Microsoft is hoping to lure in. In fact, for the price of two new games, you get a ton of content. Throw in EA Access, and you have a pretty massive instant library for not much money up front.
