Curious as to OSers thoughts on this.

Re: Xbox One
I don't like it at all as well...
Considering where my XBox is located(and theOne will be located) at my gaming station, they better get someone who is good at reading ballbag expression though, if they want info from the Kinect at my house.

Re: Xbox One
Yeah, I just can't get with that.
Seems like each next-gen console has a different target base. That's good in the sense that there's something for everyone. This one just isn't for me.Originally posted by J. Re: Xbox One
I never understood it either since it's a paid service, but Hulu Plus is a paid service too and forces you to watch ads before watching your selection. At least with the Xbox ads, they are just there and don't block you from doing what you want to do.Comment

Re: Xbox One
What's new in that article? Isn't it a bunch of the same things detractors in this very thread have been saying for the longest?PS: You guys are great.

Re: Xbox One
Kind of what I thought too. Ever since that NSA stuff came out, that was all that had been said. Also, the majority of the stuff he cited was already a year old, so this isn't really all that new.Last edited by TracerBullet; 09-10-2013, 02:10 PM.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

That is creepy stuff, I had no idea the Kinect would be used in that way.YNWAComment

Re: Xbox One
I don't remember reading anything about advertising and the Kinect's TV pass-through stuff. I thought the focus of the ire was more directed towards the online and Kinect based DRM policies.
I find it odd, too, that nothing has been said on nuAD since last year considering what has happened this year.

Re: Xbox One
But yeah, I remember it was a big deal when people were thinking they were going to limit the number of people who could watch a PPV on their Xbox if the Kinect sensed too many people in the room back during the DRM stuff.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Well it's being used that way already just going by the articles he cited. I've never actually heard anyone mentioning their ads changing based on what's being said/done with their Kinect on now that I think of it.
