Majority will buy an Xbox One/PS4 Slim which im thinking will be $200 for the holiday sales.
Nope, Microsoft would never cut the price that quickly. If it sells poorly then the earliest we will see a price cut is next holiday season to $399.

I don't see a price cut anytime soon either. People asking for a price cut will just be directed to the OneS.

While I would agree with both of you, the fact that Microsoft reduced the price of the original Xbox One and removed Kinect when they stated that they wouldn't and it couldn't be removed seven months after the original Xbox One launch leads me to believe that Microsoft will definitely do it again if sales are low.

I said March/April but im changing that to June 2018 around E3 to be exact since that was the month when Microsoft released the Xbox One for $400 without Kinect.

People being directed towards the Slim is also a flashback when Larry Hyrb said that for those who didn't want to spend $500 on an Xbox One, they could buy the Xbox 360 at a cheaper price instead. I simply wouldn't be surprised at all if history repeats.

I'm not arguing with anyone. I'm simply replying back to what others have posted. Nothing more and nothing less.

In 7 months it dropped $100 by dropping the $100 accessory it was included with.

So what's your point? It wasn't the following holiday, a year after release that it saw an actual $50 price drop.

It really depends on the time as they always change.
Just a week ago Gamestop offered 100.00 for my Original PS4 (80.00 cash) and BB had 120 trade value.

Exactly. There also wasn't another lower price point option at that time. If you want an Xbox for a lower price there will be an option for you. They are not going to start taking a hit on the OneX immediately. it's a premium product and they already said they expect the OneS to outsell it moving forward.

As mestevo said, not comparable due to change in hardware and configuration.

Just a note too...Xbox One X is a premium product and is being marketed as such. A company like MS will be a lot more hesitant to just change the price on it due to perception. They sort of had to on the original Xbox One because of how PS4 was selling and then the fact that they removed the Kinect.

But I think anyone expecting any sort of a price drop for the Xbox One X is going to be sorely disappointed. I'd venture to say a year at earliest and even then I'd be sort of surprised. I think this will be $500 for a long, long time.

I just checked this and honestly, it's the first time I have ever seen Best Buy offer more than GameStop when it comes to consoles. The few times I traded in a PS4 and Xbox One, the value was always much better at GameStop which is why I always traded in the console to them instead of Best Buy. Right now, the base PS4 is at $72 cash/$90 credit for GameStop and still at $120 credit at Best Buy.

It's just funny because every time I traded in a base PS4/Xbox One, I would always get a higher amount from GameStop. Back in 2014/2015 before PS4 dropped in price, GameStop was giving $400/$350 for the console. We'll see if this stays the same or changes as the year goes on.

You guys haven't even mentioned that Amazon is by far the best of all of them. At least when I sold my Wii U they were. Best Buy was offering like $100, Gamestop $140 and Amazon gave me $180.

Amazon offers more but I don't like them for two reasons - first, I don't want to take the time to package the item and ship it. If im going to do that, I'll just sell it on neogaf or something. Second reason is that if they find an excuse to lower the price they offer, they will. My friend is an Amazon Prime member and buys a ton of stuff off the site in general and sold his Xbox 360 to them. Everything was included and was in excellent working order. They docked him $30 or some crap because of a few cosmetic minor scratches. I don't know if he had to pay to ship the item or not. I don't think that he did but im not 100% sure and he doesn't remember. LOL.

At least with GameStop, I never had a lower price than what was advertised. And one time when trying to trade in the original Xbox One, I was refused because the guy thought it was stolen because it was in such pristine condition which was actually a blessing in disguise since a co-worker bought it from me for more money.

Yeah, that's true, I had to resend my Wii U back to them twice because they said I didn't include the power cord (I did) but it just cost me time, not any money, they paid for the shipping both ways. Took about 2 weeks though to do the whole thing so it took longer and was more work.

Still though for $40 more I'll take it.
