    Re: Xbox One

    New day, nothing has changed.
    E3 will tell the tale.
I know it's wishful thinking but I'd love these systems be around the 350 range. I'll go as high as 450 though..
    or maybe 500.00
    or 6..

    Something around there ...

      Regarding used games, again...

Will I be able to sell my game to an individual and will he/she then be able to play it without us being friends? As a person not living in America, I sell a bunch of my old games to people directly (or thru eBay) and this policy sounds like I won't be able to do that. I also highly doubt Game Publisher X will make a deal with my local game store to allow them to resell and whatnot.

I'm really hating the anti-consumer practices next-gen is bringing.

You would still need to download whatever the game is from XBL then. Granted if they let you play the game while its downloading its not too bad.

Bolded for emphasis. You are screwed if their servers are down. You are screwed if for some reason your broadband connection is down for more than 1 day. Last year during one of the hurricanes my area got hit with, I had no internet access for almost a week but I had electricity. I wouldve been pissed if I couldnt play my games during that period.

I would take $70 games over all the DRM, you could still rent, trade in value would increase, everything would be as is. After the initial shock everything would be back to normal. Raising the price $10 last gen didnt cause any of the commotion that this has.

Agreed. I know a lot of people are saying big deal because it's not going to happen that often. Trust me when it does happen and you want to play people will be bitching and moaning because it will suck. There's just no reason you need to be connected to the internet in order to play an offline game.

I can't blame people for being turned off by that. It's so ridiculous and unnecessary.

Yeah, that 24-hour check is my biggest beef with the new policy. Once a game is registered, I should be able to play on my own console without having to be connected. MS should re-think that one.

The online issue isn't much of a deal for me, but a lot of this other crap is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. If Sony doesn't do any of the DRM things that MS is doing, then I'll probably have to take a good, long look at what I'm going to buy. Used games are my bread and butter as a poor person!

Well hopefully by that point the infrastructure within the United States will have improved enough that giving a daily blood sacrifice will be a lot easier and user friendly.

I understand they can play on my console. No ****.

And I can sign on under my account on their console and play.

Will we not be able to lend/borrow at all now?

My guess more info on the Friends/Family thing will come out. My guess it's a more updated/user friendly version of the now discontinued XBL Family Pack.

As for borrowing/lending. My understanding is you can still do that, but only with people who have been on your Friends List for more than 30 days.. The catch is you can only lend/borrow that game 1 time I believe.

It seems like MS is follow terms already used by Apple, Amazon, Steam around DRM.

I mean being able to play/share your gaming library @ a friends house via your XBL GT from the cloud is great. You also can continue to physically take a game to a friends house and play also, but again you have sign into your XBL GT

So far the only thing I can see being a problem is the Mandatory 24 hr Log-In to your XBL Account in order to play offline. Hopefully MS will change this policy.
