I do want notifications for some people so I hope it's not simply a global on or off. I'm hoping it's either a toggle by each person you can set or it will simply show your favorites and not everyone.

This is correct. This has happened to me more lately than I care for, but it's always addressed after I do a hard shut down.

I began having another issue last night. I am curious to see if anyone else experiences the same problem:

Went to eject Titanfall so I could play FIFA. When I hit the eject button, it spits out the disc then it immediately goes back in before I can pull it out. Then I press eject a second time and get the disc out. But when I put in the other disc I want to play I get a disk read error. Then, I have to do a hard reboot before it recognizes the game.

Happened to me twice last night and I just cut it off because I was getting worried.

There are of things like that happening to me lately. This morning NBA 2K was acting like I never installed it and it couldn't read the disc. I ejected and put it back in and it was fine. Netflix has been hung up at 99% so I have to uninstall and reinstall. Twitch won't broadcast for me. Most issues are resolved by rebooting or uninstalling apps it it is annoying.

I have been having an issue where after I boot up a game disc it goes full screen for a few seconds and then XB1 goes back to the home screen. Process repeats 2 or 3 more times before game finally starts.

I was playing Titanfall last night, and something strange happened. Party chat went silent. None of the controller buttons were working, but my player was still running in the game. He was just going straight and kept colliding with a wall that was directly in front of him.

This is the second time it has happened. The same thing happened while playing Plants vs. Zombies.

I just got an Xbox 1 and I am having kinect issues. When I say xbox on I either have to be up extrememly close or say it extremely loud 20 plus times before the light will finally come on. This seems to be the only command that I have had major issues with and its bugging the hell out of me.

I have tried reclabrating many times and the xbox on box is checked so that is on as well. Do I need to just take it back and have it replaced or is there something I'm missing? I do not need to yell to get any other command to work properly they're all pretty consistent just the "xbox on" command.

The "Xbox on" command is more problematic because it's only using the Kinect's processing and not the entire system (because the system isn't on). I have issues sometimes too with that one, but all others work way better.

Same for me, normally works on the first couple tries but sometimes it's stubborn with the "Xbox on" command.

It's not foolproof, but here's how I get "Xbox On" to work ~90% of the time.

Stand ~5-10 feet way from the Kinect, facing it.

Assertively (like you are talking to a dog) say:
                      "Xbox" ...[pause 1 second]..."On".

Basically, similar to if you were saying "Fido!...Sit!"

I can attest that talking to your Kinect like a pet increases it's obedience and success. It's great.

You think it's hard by yourself... Try it with four boys and your wife trying to get it to obey. But my kids love when they walk in the room and it greets them.

I've also read the unplugging the Kinect and then firmly replugging it can sometimes help.
