Well, I did it... I picked up my XB1 today! It's presently in the truck, I'm at work for another hour, then I have to take my wife to the airport since she's heading out of town for the weekend, then its time to go home and try this thing out! Picked up a used copy of Madden, Forza 5, and BF4. Looking forward to some next gen gaming this weekend!

Well, I did it... I picked up my XB1 today! Is anyone else having disc drive issues? Trying to play a Blu ray is like trying to play a original Nintendo game. Really wanted my one to he my primary Blu ray player when I get my basement done but it's apparently a huge pain in the ***. Even happens with games sometimes. I'm constantly wiping down discs that are not even dirty.

Have you tried Deleting the BR Software and then reinstall it?

Is anyone having problems with EA games? I cannot play any EA games, Titanfall, Battlefield or Madden but yet NBA 2k14 and Forza work just fine. The issue is when I try and play a game, it tells me that the game needs to update before I can play but that the update failed. I'm connected to XBL and everything and it's only EA games so I'm curious if anyone knows why. Or knows of EA's support email or chat link?

HOW TO LOSE A $499.99 SALE..AS PRESENTED BY BEST BUY

1. Have your customer who has a $750 Best Buy Credit Reward Zone credit card and a balance of $637.00 pay online $637.00 to achieve what appears to be a $0 balance.

2. Have your Best Buy representative, a friendly chap named Ethan, assure your customer via chat that they do in fact have a $0 balance and they can go to Best Buy and buy a new Xbox One.

3. Have customer go to Best Buy store local to them and have him think he's going to buy an Xbox One. He's not of course.

4. Decline the credit card when your customer stands in line. This thoroughly humiliates said customer as predicted.

5. Have your customer call in while everyone around waits so he can ask why his card was declined and be told that all payments take up to 48 hours to process.

6. Tell the customer that you can likely do a manual override as they are a customer in good standing.

7. Put the customer on hold for approximately 10 minutes while they stand there in line growing both in anger at the delay and in humiliation for being a loser who has his credit card declined.

8. Come back on the phone and tell customer that he would have had to have paid cash to get immediate authorization. Tell him this despite the fact that their headquarters where money is sent to approximately 700 miles away from said customer.

9. Listen to customer threaten to go to Walmart.com and buy a better bundle there and then explain to him to just wait until Monday which defeats the purpose of buying Best Buy since Walmart.com online has a better deal. Laugh (metaphorically of course) at his bluff.

10. Inspire customer to actually return to the office, login to to Walmart.com and buy a new $499.99 Xbox One while simultaneously renewing said customers utter disgust at just how poor Best Buy has gotten in how it treats, or mistreats as the case may be, it's customers.

Best Buy just put on a clinic on how to lose a customer and those are the 10 steps that any business can follow to do the same.

Any wonder why this company is headed to bankruptcy?

On the flip side I will get UFC for free with my Walmart package and I also got Forza, which I already owned so I sold it for $25

Well, payments can take up to 24 hours to post. If you made a payment today, being that it isn't a business day, probably shouldn't expect it to post immediately. They gave you the wrong info.

Yeah, any credit card payment takes time to process. Unless cash is paid that's how it is. I would be complaining to citi bank rather than best buy.

So my first night with my XB1 isn't going to well... it's probably my fault though.

I put in Madden 25... it said there was a 325mb update or so... so im like ugh... whatever... this was after having to install a 768mb update when i first turned on the XB1. So... then i realized it apparently installed the 12.5 gb game to the hard drive... so I thought well maybe I clicked something wrong. Played a game, wasn't all that impressed, it looks better, sure, but I was expecting more.

Now I've put in Forza 5... its installing too... So... I'm assuming this is normal and I'm an idiot that didnt know this before hand? Or is there a setting somewhere that I need to turn off so I can play from the disc?

Also... the copy of Madden I got was used. So I tried to go in and download some community rosters, or access online features, and it just locks up. Not the xbox itself, just the game. I'm assuming its because of EA's online pass stuff, but it let me sign in to the EA servers and stuff just fine. So... I'm not really sure what to do here, because I;m stuck with the opening day rosters, which is awful. I can't find anywhere to buy the online pass either. Not that I think I want to, but im just lost in the upgrade process

Any help/tips would be great! Looks like everything has to install according to some quick googling, but the madden issue is well... maddening. lol

The PS4 and XB1 both require all game disc to be installed into the Hard Drive to play. Reason is that due to the huge GB of these games reading from a disc would cause major loading and performance issues.

The PS4 does install a bit faster but regardless it has to be installed. The disc is just to verify you own the game as the install is like digital download

I have no issue downloading rosters and not sure there is an online pass. I dont think that is the case

Yeah the best buy chat customer was wrong...sucks you had to go through that but online payments aren't instant...I would have used a card with more credit and called it a day
