Yeah that sucks, and not even being able to speak about why is pretty irritating all by itself.

Re: Xbox One
Yes.
The way I saw it, there's no point of differentiation between the XBOX One and the PlayStation 4 from a gaming perspective if game developers aren't going to be forced to consider the technology offered by the Kinect to add unique features to a gameplay experience which the PS4 cannot offer, so virtually no developer now is going to do it. I bought the XBOX One with that idea in mind, perhaps out of naivety, but the promise of the upgraded voice recognition and motion tracking augmenting games I already play was appealing to my imagination.
Given that the PS4 is to me the more straightforward system from a gaming perspective than the all-in-one set-top box approach of the XBOX One, that the PS4 is unquestionably the more powerful system computationally, that Sony in general is much more open with independent developers such as the company I work for than is Microsoft, and that there is much more activity in the online sports gaming sections of this forum on the PS4 than the XBOX One, I made the decision to get rid of my One for a PS4. I will miss Forza Motorsport, which I prefer to Gran Turismo, but beyond that I have no regretted the decision.
It's not my intention to start a console war thread in here, so that's my last post I'm going to make on the subject of my trading away my XBOX One.Comment

Re: Xbox One
For the record, Microsoft is now disputing the report.
This is consistent with the rest of their terribly inconsistent messaging about the XBOX One they've had since the console was announced in May last year. I really want to like the One, but MS has really botched this so far, IMO.

Fair enough. You probably overreacted though. It's funny that this shows that there is no way Microsoft can please everyone.
Games that need kinect will still use it. I'm fine with developers not using kinect for silly things it's not needed for. I liked switching guns with my voice during Tombraider and as far as I know that tech will still be there. Those type of games can now use the resources freed up from motion controls though now to make their games better in other ways.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yeah. I'm getting mostly digital though. Only game I'm not getting digital IF I get it is Madden. Going to see how much they give me for last year's 25 Anniversary Edition. I already traded in Madden 25 next gen and got a 35 dollar credit so I might not have to pay anything for Madden. Just gotta decide if I want it.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Digital pre-orders are on the way? Just watched the latest episode of Sunset TV and he pretty much confirms it at least for SSO anyways.
