    Already tried that.

Oh, we're very aware of this http://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/251...ps/filters/top

Also, it's the platform team that would enable this, not the design guys. Design can design all they want, but it needs to actually work architecturally.

Anyone here interested in buying a factory sealed Xbox One controller, one year Xbox Live Gold membership and the Assassin's Creed Unity and Black Flag digital downloads? If so, PM me. Thanks.

The speed difference between an external 7200rpm and a 5400rpm HDD may not be as large as you may think...you may want to take a look at the article I linked below and see if the price difference is worth it, especially when you can get a 2TB 5400rpm for a few bucks more than the 1TB 7200rpm you linked above.

In an era where a single game occupies up to 50GB of storage space, the 500GB hard drives found in the new wave of game…

Bottom line is anything external is much better than the stock internal drive, but what what gets you the most bang for your buck (speed vs. size)?

Regarding the sound slider question: Nope
Regarding channel change without Kinect: you can use an IR extension cable. They are pretty cheap from Amazon and you can get a 3-headed one to plug into your TV, AVR, and STB.
Here's a question for you about a Kinect + IR Emitter setup. With the way my room is being set up after re-finishing it, the sound system and dvr will be at a 90° angle to the Kinect sensor/emitter. I'm assuming the built in blaster probably won't be too successful at getting the commands sent. Now, if I connect an ir emitter to the back of the system, can the kinect then pick up the remote commands from the device remotes and send them through the emitter? I mean, I would have to tape the emitter over the IR Eye on the devices. The xbox controls volume up/down on my sound system, not input and radio and the such. It also doesn't control the dvr functions of my ota dvr.

So, will this setup pretty much make my equipment useless, or does the kinect act as a receiver and send them downstream through the emitter cable?

If not, they seriously need to implement it.

EDIT: Just read the kinect does not have an ir receiver... How does it read the IR impulses on the back of the controllers then(or are those just lights)?

Also, the system itself has an ir receiver. Will that flow commands downstream through the ir emitter cable?

I would need to see a diagram/picture of the setup to know for sure. One way to imagine it is to think of your room as having mirrors for walls, and having the Kinect shooting lasers in every (reasonable) direction around your room. If you trace one of those lasers as it reflects off of the wall (or you, or your furniture), would it make it back to your devices?

Any IR emitter attached to the 3.5mm port in the back will emit the exact same commands that the Kinect emits when the Xbox One sends IR. So if you can do it with your Kinect (power, volume, channel), then you can do it with the extension cables.

You wouldn't be able to have other remotes send commands through the Xbox. However, I wouldn't necessarily assume that the IR emitters would block your devices from receiving IR. I've found that the device remotes will still often work as well. It's worth testing.

Now having problems with my Kinect answering to Xbox On.I turned my power setting thing to Power Saver recently.I don't know if that has anything to do with it.I been having to turn my system on by pressing the power button on the system and then after that the Kinect responds fine to commands after I turn it on myself.Any help is appreciated.

"Xbox On" only works in Instant On mode because it requires power to the Kinect and Xbox to do some basic audio processing to verify that the user said "Xbox On."

I just came back from Best Buy and they had a MS rep at the Magnolia Theater section with an XBOX One and Halo 5 Beta playing on a 65 inch 4K Samsung Curve.. The 900 series top of the line.

He asked if I wanted to try and of course I did and that game looks incredible and sounds awesome as they had the high end speakers they sell in Magnolia set up. WOW

For a BETA that is 720P that game looks awesome and plays fantastic.

I dont know if it is the game or the fact that the tv is about 4 thousand dollars but damm

                          Very impressed.

Yeah the little I have played of the Halo5 beta has been extremely impressive graphically. Definitely more along the lines of what you'd expect from a tentpole franchise
