Thats bull****. Whats greeted with hostility is people who try to package features that are clearly anti-consumer as consumer. I love the TV features on the XB1. I love the Kinect features. There are plenty of posts here raving about their exclusives. Dont try to feed us that BS.

      Xbox live is $60 bucks.

The 1 year subscriptions go on sale often, I've had Xbox Live since it came out, the only time I've paid full price was the first year, the last few years I haven't paid more than $35 for a year of it.

            1. You have to be able to go online to play the XB1
            2. MS will ban people from Live who do things that are against the TOS. There is no reason or evidence to believe that this will change with the 1.

Its possible that MS will create some way to do the online check without allowing a person to access the online gaming part of live. Its also possible that MS will overreach and take away access to already purchased games for ppl who break the tOS. If they do, the lawsuits will come flying at them.
It's not as easy as people think to get Perma-Ban from Live. People who usually get Perma-Ban really deserve it. (cheaters, poor sportsman, foul language & behavior)

Can innocent people get Perma-Ban. Sure. But I'd bet 95% of people Perma-Ban deserved it

Do I believe this will carry over. Probably. Maybe MS will give people enough rope before they hang themselves.

As for people losing access to their digital games I'm not with that. I'd rather they just lose their ability to play on live

People who pay $60 for Live are either not very savvy shoppers or extremely desperate.

MS has said nothing or failed to give any details on how this benefits the consumer to where they have to be online.

If you own the digital content and can't sell it back, why do you need to be online to play it?

You can still play digital content on another Xbox if you are online, that feature shouldn't effect your playing on another Xbox. Require the temporary Xbox to be online at all times.

MS has said nothing about discounting digital content. With all their failed press, don't you think they would come out and push any news that would give them great press and would be viewed favorably by gamers?

They also didn't give any details on the 10 family, they say hey you can have 10 family members, but then stop short saying how it will work. They leave out the details of how many people can play at one time? Why, is it because the good news ends there and only 1 person can play?

I know people who haven't paid more than $10 for a game in over a decade, that doesn't make games $10.

Poorly explaining their vision for this generation is something I mentioned in my first post.

Thank you. My point isnt that you cant get Live for $35 bucks. Its that its priced at $60.

I will believe this when I see it in action. No way, IMO, is MS and it's publishers going to possibly lose 10 sales on games by letting friends simply borrow games from each others libraries freely. There are gonna be serious restrictions on this, I guarantee you. It will be very limited access, you can rest assured. You guys betting on this to counter MS's new restrictive game policies are in for a rude awakening, IMO.
