This reminds me of a story that happened when Dragon Age 2 came out. Some guy on the EA forums wasn't happy when the game and voiced displeasure (never saw the actual posts). He was banned, and the next time he tried to play his copy of Dragon Age 2 he was locked out of the game. Crazy stuff.

Re: Xbox One
A line from MS's licensing with the Xbox One should be given some attention, "In the months ahead, we will continue to listen to your feedback as we meet with our partners in the ecosystem to bring additional detail about our policies."
I think it was Mgoblue (?) several pages back that said he's waiting on the dust to settle and decide this Fall. For whatever reason, many treated (especially the next Xbox) all the announcements as sole indicators as to which way to go on making a decision. In many cases, it wasn't even about a decision but rather who won. That will always be the case but it is important to look at MS and Sony as a company that wants to generate revenue, and so their decisions are based off of that.
But, policies and procedures can be changed. In particular with MS, they aren't out to alienate their customer base. They want to grow, and if something is substantial enough to generate change, they probably will.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Yep I'm waiting to before I cancel any reserves.
Can't wait until we get to the point of talking about games etc..Last edited by Skyboxer; 06-15-2013, 12:19 PM.Joshua:

Sad part is Sky, we all said, can't wait for E3 (to clear this up and talk about games), now it is...
Can't wait till Gamescom.
A little redundant. They just need to stop BSing and just say what it legitimately is. Now it seems they were like, "oh crap backlash", back peddle and throw in "evolving over time".
Anyway, can't wait for Gamescom.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

I'm mainly talking about the constant posting of negative things IMO just to see what kind of reaction is gotten.
Only thing I'm certain of is I'll have a PS4 day one.
I have always admitted I have a soft spot for XBOX and am going to wait until the last second before deciding.
Hopefully we get some info in the coming weeks/months. Until then it is what it is and I see no reason to keep throwing in stuff that adds no real stuff to the discussion but rather tries to "get a reaction".
Just to add.. I see a lot of "They" and "Them" posts...(PS4 vs XBOX)
We are all gamers in the end. Just be happy with what you are going with and have fun.Last edited by Skyboxer; 06-15-2013, 12:43 PM.Joshua:

Agreed!
Steam has The Witcher 2 Enhance Edition for $6.79.
Great for anyone who wants to catch up going into the amazing looking Witcher 3.Ⓥ Boston Red Sox | Miami DolphinsComment

Re: Xbox One
To my knowledge you can still play your 360 games offline if you get banned from Live. The way the Xbox One is set-up it would be impossible to play your games if you are banned. Care to go on?Comment

I mean is this what it's come to, posting stuff to continue to bash XB-1 especially when the topic being spoken about pertains to the 360.

Re: Xbox One
How can you say it pertains to the 360? The Xbox One you HAVE to be online to authenticate your game. If you get banned you won't be able to do that. So YES it does pertain to the Xbox One.Last edited by TheBuddyHobbs; 06-15-2013, 01:39 PM.Comment

Except the fact that people get wrongfully banned all the time... Have you never heard of that? I have heard a lot of horror stories about people getting banned for no reason only for Microsoft months and months down the road learn they were wrongfully banned. So you pay 500 dollars for a console you can't use if Microsoft makes that mistake. Which since everybody makes mistakes it could cost a lot of innocent people time, money and enjoyment.

As for unwarranted bans I totally agree with you.

Re: Xbox One
1. You have to be able to go online to play the XB1
2. MS will ban people from Live who do things that are against the TOS. There is no reason or evidence to believe that this will change with the 1.
Its possible that MS will create some way to do the online check without allowing a person to access the online gaming part of live. Its also possible that MS will overreach and take away access to already purchased games for ppl who break the tOS. If they do, the lawsuits will come flying at them.Comment

I don't think we will know anything about this until someone actually has the TOS in their hands. Then after a few lawsuits are filled and decided we will know whether it stands or not.
I also expect retail stores to start making you sign when purchasing that you understand it requires internet to work. Stores aren't going to want a lot of pissed off customers trying to return opened boxes and either not being allowed to return or having to pay a restocking fee. There's a bunch of parents and kids that won't know and will just buy it because it is new.Comment
