I am just looking forward to new information about the 2 systems and what they offer, instead of the emotional back and forth that has been occurring on the two boards (PS4 and Xbox One). I'm excited for what is to come. I am ready for a new generation of consoles and the growing pains that go with them.

I am absolutely SICK of the "fanboyism" that happens (here and other sites). I'm getting both systems, however that does not mean I do not have concerns about the information that has come from MS. That being said, I love that the Xbox One will tie everything in your living room into ONE entertainment Eco-system. If the PS4 is for gaming only..great, that's what I will use it for. I'm really looking forward to the role out of information over the next few days.

I think you mis interpreted that. I am saying if you are really concerned about the Privacy issues in the States, then there are far more grievous and intruding examples of that then a game console with a camera.

If you don't, then this "small thing" in your mind will escalade into something bigger. It is called social conformity.

Just like the DRM right to sell or trade issue. If you do nothing about it now. It will eventually be accepted as the norm, and only get worse.

To add, this is not a political forum, and stuff like this was mentioned in Apple's new ios6 camera disabled patent by the government on this forum. You never heard about it from us before here, because other events had no bearing on gaming. Now that it is bleeding into "gaming", it has become open for discussion. Common sense.

That pic reminds me, are we waiting till the morning to set up a thread for each of the press conferences like usual (Microsoft, Sony, EA, Ubisoft) or are we not doing that this year?

I think the "government watching you" is paranoia. Why would they care to watch you unless you're doing some seriously messed up stuff? It just doesn't make any sense.

If I'm not mistaken, right to sell doesn't apply to everything. It doesn't apply to digital sales.

I haven't made a decision either way yet. Not all the information is out there. Price of the system being one. Price of games being another (if Sony doesn't block used sales, there is no way Microsoft doesn't go with $50 or less pricepoint)

I assumed we'd still be using this thread since those conferences will be focused around PS4/Xbox. I guess it does make sense to have separate threads since there will surely be some 360, PS3, and Vita info out there.

Sure but i believe that Flawless started an E3 thread if im not mistaken.. we can at least start there.

Alright, MS. Now it's time to show what you're going to do for gamers, rather than to gamers. I'm an xbox fan at heart, so even though I'm leaning PS4 for next gen, I hope MS can pull it together and maybe change my mind.

Between companies mining your online data for what advertisements will work best on you to what ever shady stuff the Gov't is up to, in some fashion you are certainly being watched. Imagine a law enforcement agency getting a wiretap to get a live feed into a drug dealers house to see what they are up to. 10 Years ago I would have said that the Gov't being able to see everything you do online is paranoia but it is happening.

If the Technology exists for something happen, it will eventually happen.
