With Amazon getting extra PS4 consoles and upgrading people to release day delivery I wonder if they will do that with the Xbox One ?

Re: Xbox One
Yeah they don't have to because Xbox One - Day One Edition is still available.

Re: Xbox One
According to Amazon PS4's are in high demand over the One. It's funny how you ignored me multiple times after I asked you that question. Now all of a sudden you pop back up, classic!Comment

Re: Xbox One
Well, the Day One Edition Xbone is no longer "get it by release", I'm guessing Microsoft is telling retailers to take as many preorders as possible and they will make sure they get an Xbone Day One Edition eventually.
PS4 either Sony allotted more consoles to Amazon than expected, or they increased the amount after the preorders were eaten up so fast.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I saw it in an article FYI. But also Amazon has a poll on it.

Bare in mind this isn't even the most recent poll. Most recently PS4 is at 38815 while the Xbox One is at 2158.

Re: Xbox One
The post I was replying to said that "friends borrowing games is a thing of the past." Micorsoft's website says there will be a borrowing system, so even if they haven't informed us of all the details, that statement is not correct. I have no doubt there will be restrictions, business wise, they would be foolish not to have restrictions. But I fully expect the restriction to be each licensed game can be played on only one console at a time, no matter how the wording on the MS site is. Which wouldn't be any different than this generation with the exception of not having to physically hand the disc to your friend. I understand that isn't that big of deal to some people, but it is huge for me. I live in the middle of nowhere, Illinois and my best friend lives in South Bend, Indiana. Right now, if I have a game that he wants to try, he can't borrow it from me easily, but if the system works as I expect it to work, he will be.I will believe this when I see it in action. No way, IMO, is MS and it's publishers going to possibly lose 10 sales on games by letting friends simply borrow games from each others libraries freely. There are gonna be serious restrictions on this, I guarantee you. It will be very limited access, you can rest assured. You guys betting on this to counter MS's new restrictive game policies are in for a rude awakening, IMO.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Dang, 3900 out of 3911 post are just flaming the hell out of the X1. Can we just stop, we get it, DRM, 24hr, Kinect, blah, blah, blah, blah. The Ps4 out selling the X1....

Can we talk about how now we can have 1000 friends on our friend list. How you can now directly stream to Twitch.TV... You know, some of the good things, even though there isn't much.
All i see is the bad, and barely any of the goods.MLB: Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves
NBA:Detroit Pistons, Memphis Grizzlies

Re: Xbox One
It was a longshot but I heard confirmation in an interview with Major Nelson that simultaneous playing of shared titles isn't happening. That was just too good to be true.
Interviewer: But you cant play it simultaneously? [in regards to shared games]
Nelson: ...if theres split screen you can, but its not like you're buying one copy for all 10 members [of your family list]
Its here in an Angry Joe interview:

There is some nice info here but its really a guerrilla style interview lol. Joe asks some questions about consumer concerns, Nelson answers some, spins others, but its informative nonetheless.Comment

Re: Xbox One
based on that response, it seems it's basically the same as letting someone use your disc on the 360, just without actually giving them the disc. Which is about what I would have expected. It was a longshot but I heard confirmation in an interview with Major Nelson that simultaneous playing of shared titles isn't happening. That was just too good to be true.

He also tried to say that the publishers could choose to use the 24-hour online check or not(or something else different), but the way he said it makes it seem a bit unlikely to actually happen.Last edited by Solidice; 06-16-2013, 12:37 AM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Thanks for posting that, that clears up a little bit of the lending system. Now, we need to find out how we would designate family members and what the limitations of adding, removing or changing who are family members are.It was a longshot but I heard confirmation in an interview with Major Nelson that simultaneous playing of shared titles isn't happening. That was just too good to be true.
