Exactly. One of the biggest things that I'm more excited is the use of dedicated servers in games like Halo. One of the biggest problems in Halo 2 was the fact that people would mod their Xbox and tamper with the connection to grab host and standby. The reason they did this was to boost their rank. Now when Halo 3 came along we lost the true ranking structure that Halo 2 was centered around, along with clan matches. The modding and connection tampering died down but this brought about a turn for the worst for the Halo series.

With the fact that the One has dedicated servers could be overstated. Halo could finally bring back a true ranking system similar to the Halo 2 days without the worry of people modding or tampering with connections.

The One is just as new for Microsoft as it is for us. Give them some time to figure it out because I'm sure they have some great ideas on the drawing board.

The funny thing is this IS THE FUTURE of gaming. This very well could be the last of hardware driven consoles, everything could be cloudbased and internet based 10 years from now.

Eventually, there will be screaming fast internet speeds everywhere, it really is juts a matter of time.

Is it early to push all this always online stuff? Maybe, but personally I think alot of you guys just don't like change. You are comfortable.

For those of who are getting or thinking about getting the One what are the top three games you would like to pickup on release day? Here is whats available. http://www.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/Xb..._Launch_Titles

I think I would have to go:

          Battlefield 4
          Forza 5
and either FIFA or Madden depending on how they look

The "this is the future of gaming" rhetoric is getting old. You gonna find out the future of gaming when X1 console sales are moving at a snails pace.

It's not financially sound to like this change so alot of us don't like it. Oh pretty please come at me with what amounts to the "You're too poor" rhetoric. That would make my day.

If it wasn't screwing a massive amount of people outside of the United States over then perhaps you would have a point I guess...

I didn't know you could see in the future that is pretty cool man! But in all seriousness why would you want "the future of gaming" to be so restrictive? The Xbox One is the opposite of freedom. You buy your game, but you basically don't own it. You get banned from Live which can happen wrongfully and you can't play your games. You can't rent games. You are told where you can sell your games and where you can't. No internet? No gaming. I'm sorry but if this is the future of gaming then gaming will die a horrible death.

You just dont like change broseph. You're comfortable with having all those options and freedoms. You should just accept everything from MS because of keywords like "the cloud' and "dedicated servers" and "Halo".

Just to be clear, I dont have much against the X1 anymore now that this wont be the standard for this gen at least. But marginalizing the argument against the X1 policies into 'people not wanting change' is absurd. There is change and then there is complete disconnection from the consumer.

If we are getting rid of rhetoric can we ban the use of the phrase DRM? Its thrown around in here like its the second coming of Satan.

Personally, I don't take a console's configuration personally. Its obvious that alot of you guys hate the X1 config. Thats great, go buy a PS4 that is going to be so DRM free.......Until all the publishers force it there too.

The writing is on the wall guys, this is where it is heading, like it or not.

It's not going to be where we head once Microsoft sees there sales tank big time. Amazon has already said PS4 is outselling Xbox One 3 to 2. That might not sound like a lot to you, but it adds up. Let's say PS4 sells 3 million preorders well because the ratio is to 3 to 2 that would mean Xbox One sold 2 million. So PS4 sold 1 million more consoles in the US alone. If they isn't significant to you then your faith is blinding you.

Edit: bare in mind these aren't how many have sold so far. It's just to point out that 3 to 2 is a lot more than you might think.

I preordered the One last week and can not wait till it comes out, friend of mine was out looking to pre-order his Friday and went to 4 different places before he was able to get one. They were sold out of first and second shipments which surprised us both with all the negative feedback MS is getting.

There is plenty of complaining going around against MS and the One. Look around at the polls and Sony is killing MS. People have different opinions..not everybody sees all the restrictions in the same light as some of the ones that don't like it and feel the need to defend it. Like said before which ever system you have your heart set on nobody is going to change your mind....it is what it is.

It's not about the first two or three million man. It's about the first 30 million. We won't know who "won" this generation for another 5-8 years. Honestly though why does it even matter man. How we spend our money is entirely up to us. If you don't like the direction Microsoft is headed with the One then fine, enjoy your PS4, WiiU, DS, or whatever it is you like to spend your money on. God forbid we have a different opinion then you. It's not my "faith" that is blinding me, its the fact the One fits MY personal needs better then the PS4. Plain and simple. But I never even said I was only buying PS4. I will be getting the Xbox One as well as the PS4. Xbox One has nice features, but the restrictions on this machine are pretty ridiculous.

MS has a 77 Million User Base. You really think they are worried about people jumping ship.

I could see that if they had just abandoned the 360 like they did the OG XBOX when the 360 hit, but they haven't.

The 360 will continue to a vibrant platform. People who are not ready will either:

Continue playing their 360 or buy a PS4

MS is in a good position even with the negative press they've been getting

As for your question dispatch, I have pre ordered: RYSE & Dead Rising 3. And look forward to playing F2P Killer Instinct
