I feel like we have talked about this subject for hours Randy, - but in the end both companies will end up putting out a quality product. There really is no room for the amount of "system bashing/fanboyism" that I have seen on both sides up to this juncture, as it looks like both Sony and Microsoft are set to deliver a quality product, and gamers seem to be the winner here -

I agree and I love console release times

For XBOX I really want a price drop and a non Kinect SKU.
For Sony I want faster PSN speeds.

My biggest issue will picking which system to go with for sports. Guess once I get both systems it will come down to Online and where are most friends at.

I made my decision to switch my pre-order a few weeks and still have zero regrets, my One is paid off in full and I can't wait.. Had my reasons though..

Trying not to think about though. Its hard! Lol

I was ready to pre-order an Xbox One, and I read that all pre-orders come with a digital version of FIFA 14, but after reading a little more, I found that FIFA 14 is only being bundled with European pre-orders ... does anyone know if this is true? If so, I want to know why Europe is getting a free game and North America is not. This may change my system choice altogether.

Yes, EU preorders only. Sony is bundling a game/extra controller/camera too at the same price point as an Xbox One - also EU only.

I put this in the ps4 thread as well.

Honestly, as the days/weeks go by (I have both consoles pre-ordered just in case) the only clear answer is to just wait and let the dust settle for the first few months and make a choice after that. This next gen more than any other might be best to just wait, skip day one purchase and let both systems be out for a bit before making a choice.

My 360 RRD in the first month and my ps3 collected dust for the first year. If I could go back in time, I should've just waited. Anyone else feel the same?

To the bolded... NOPE.

New consoles releases are one of the main fun times of gaming, if not the best time.
If I felt right about it I'd buy both consoles day 1.
However going with just 1 at the start and get the other within 6 months.

Regardless of anything I am getting both. The problem however is which system do I get the multiplatform games? The Xbox One has the digital share. So getting digital for Xbox One has much more perks because of that. But do I buy the exclusive ones digital or multiplatform? It's so tough.

I can't wait to see Gears of War and Halo on the Xbox One. I know I would want Dead Rising and Forza. I am sure some other ones down the road.

Even though traditionally all my multiplatform games have always been 360 and never PS3.

That may change for me next-gen.

Mainly because of two reasons...

PS4's superior raw horsepower & installed user base (going by the OSers here making the switch and the comments in general I've seen on the internet).

It looks to me like many die hard 360 players (myself included) are going with PS4 as first choice, unlike others though I will be getting both right away so I'm still kinda iffy about multiplatform games.

It will depend on online play for many games and traditionally XBL online play has been worlds better than PSN (for me). So I wan't to see how it works out for the PS4 early on before I make a commitment on multiplatform games.

I will say this however. Since I changed ISP's last week and my connection speeds are literally about 13 times faster than they were before, PSN on my PS3 has been an awesome experience. I really think the newer layout has a sleeker, more refined look. More to me like an interface I'd want in a console, not as kiddy looking as XBL.

Not only that but last night I decided to download Dust 514 and it only took a few minutes (with patches).

My faster connection is kinda getting me more pumped up for this next-gen. I need these consoles to drop already!
