Re: Xbox One
More and more I find no reason to have either system at launch. Nothing is really pulling at me. There are so many games that are dirt cheap for the 360 I haven't touched. I will wait until spring 2014.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Xbox One
I was thinking about doing the same thing as there is a lot of games for both the 360 and PS3 that I haven't beat yet. But, I will not be able to control myself. Have to get a launch console each gen.Louisville Cardinals 2013 National Champions/2013 Sugar Bowl Champions

Re: Xbox One
Even though traditionally all my multiplatform games have always been 360 and never PS3.
That may change for me next-gen.
Mainly because of two reasons...
PS4's superior raw horsepower & installed user base (going by the OSers here making the switch and the comments in general I've seen on the internet).
It looks to me like many die hard 360 players (myself included) are going with PS4 as first choice, unlike others though I will be getting both right away so I'm still kinda iffy about multiplatform games.
It will depend on online play for many games and traditionally XBL online play has been worlds better than PSN (for me). So I wan't to see how it works out for the PS4 early on before I make a commitment on multiplatform games.
I will say this however. Since I changed ISP's last week and my connection speeds are literally about 13 times faster than they were before, PSN on my PS3 has been an awesome experience. I really think the newer layout has a sleeker, more refined look. More to me like an interface I'd want in a console, not as kiddy looking as XBL.
Not only that but last night I decided to download Dust 514 and it only took a few minutes (with patches).
My faster connection is kinda getting me more pumped up for this next-gen. I need these consoles to drop already!NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.Comment

Re: Xbox One
It may change, but we don't know yet. I don't think power plays that much of a role because the ps3 was more powerful than the 360, but multiplatform games looked better on the 360. The console that plays the multiplatform games better this time around will be my main console this time around.
Now both systems are pretty much the same design wise with the PS4 being supposedly more powerful.Joshua:

Re: Xbox One
Regardless of anything I am getting both. The problem however is which system do I get the multiplatform games? The Xbox One has the digital share. So getting digital for Xbox One has much more perks because of that. But do I buy the exclusive ones digital or multiplatform? It's so tough.
I can't wait to see Gears of War and Halo on the Xbox One. I know I would want Dead Rising and Forza. I am sure some other ones down the road.Comment

And that is that I don't understand the other question: "But do I buy the exclusive ones digital or multiplatform?"
If it's exclusive, of course you have to buy it on the console it's on. It also wouldn't be multi-platform because it's exclusive. When it came to PS3/360, early on you just had to check the comparison videos. Usually it ended up being 360 by default of being out longer and being the more common architecture. As things went on there wasn't as much difference, and then towards the end now sometimes PS3 has been better and sometimes it's still 360. So the short answer is you have to wait and see probably. My guess is though that after early on (say the first year), things will be mostly similar so it should only be a short-term question.
That being said, the answer is PC either way when it comes to multi-platform right now if you want the "superior" version.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update). I write it, and it hits your inbox every Friday morning (for freeeeeee). We also have an official OS Discord you can now join.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Is digital share still happening? I haven't followed much, but I thought always-online not being a thing meant that this wouldn't happen either. (I'm of course assuming digital share is the thing that allows you to share your games with other people in your network to a limited degree.) I always thought digital share would be dependent on the publisher as well so just because it was allowed didn't mean it would happen often. Either way, if it's still a thing and just now a scaled back version where anyone can play games as long as your profile is somewhere active on that console and nowhere else it still leads me to this next part...

Ryse doesn't excite me really. I just see it as a game where you will just be spamming buttons most of the time. But I know some of you are excited about this game so figured I would post that videoComment

Re: Xbox One
Going digital would have been nicer if Microsoft had not gone back on their plan to force all games to be installed and not require a disk. When that was the case, you could buy from an assortment of retailers and find games on sale.
Now, in order to get the advantages of going digital you have to buy only from Xbox Live, which will probably not be nearly as competitive on price, since undercutting retailers can hurt the sales of stores Microsoft depends on to sell their products.
I'm 90% likely to pick up an Xbox One, but I'm probably waiting until next year. I think there is more value in sticking with the 360 for now, and waiting for more games to drop for next gen before upgrading. Not only will there be more games if I wait, but many of the good ones will have already been discounted.
And the 360 still has several games coming out that won't be on next gen that I really want to play.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Yeah wow I did a terrible job at wording that out... lol... What I basically meant was which console should I get multiplatform games on? Should I buy them digitally or not? Due to sharing. But I think I will answer my question on this one. My friends and brother are getting a PS4 so obviously multiplatform games will be PS4 for me. Xbox One I of course will get the exclusives. However I still have the question of whether I should go digital or not?
While there is always a risk of having a disc get damaged, I feel more restricted with going digital when it comes to how I can dispossed of my propperty.
Anyways, I would have done what you decided, adcquire multiplatform games for the console where most of my friends woud be.
Have "good envy" on you and the guys who would have both consoles.Last edited by ffaacc03; 09-01-2013, 01:55 PM.Comment
