Definitely agree with all of that. I still personally feel that if they made their check-in a once a week thing, they wouldn't have nearly the same amount of backlash, and could have moved many closer to their vision.

Once every 30 days or two weeks is fine.

Now them backtracking and turning the whole thing upside down to how it was originally planned just shows poor poor business planning.

Stick to your plan and it looks bad to people such as myself. Flip the whole script and it just looks bad on you as a company.

It's clear that Microsoft was not planning to make these changes. Even though it's June and the console doesn't launch until November, Whitten said that Xbox One consumers will have to download a day-one patch to enable the Xbox One's offline mode. Presumably, without it, the console will still think it's living in the Xbox One era of E3 2013.

I call BS on the bold all day long. They saw how quick "gamers" were to jump ship when MS attempted to put the boudin(cajun saying, I'm sorry lol) to them. Now they are trying to do damage control and draw some back.

If you can still see discs being in your life in 40 years then were living in different worlds my friend. A physical disc is a dying breed. It dodged a bullet here today but its time will come.

I expected the turnaround, and it happened. Given the press, I think it's what they had to do.

It's not trying to "drag people back" because the system isn't out yet. People haven't made a buying decision yet because no consoles have been shipped. Better to fix it than go down in flames.

So they can activate/deactivate at anytime too? Better read the fine print in "Terms and Conditions" when you do update.

I applaud all who have helped in this defeat since this was all unnecessary.
