Trust me, you will. It's just something about this goofy shizznick that keeps me involved in this.

As crazy as this may sound I don't think I would still be gaming if it wasn't for OS. This site has cost me a lot of $$ over the years and a lot of lost family time

Same for me...This site often gets me into games I would have never tried....and keeps me interested in the hobby when my interest wanes...

It's been REALLY tough at times. The hardest has been the few days after launch when everyone was giving impressions.

When the PS2 & PS3 came out, I got both on launch and opened them up. I regretted doing it when Christmas rolled around. This time I told my wife back in June, that under no circumstances should she allow me to open either the PS4 or the Xbox One. Even if I begged and pleaded, (which I did) she should not allow me to open either. I put both boxes behind the tree, so I wouldn't see them everyday.

          15 more days to go...

I've found that the types of games I play has changed, and the amount. No more playing through a season of Madden in a week. Or playing Call of Duty for 5 hours straight. I'm a lot more into immersive, story based games now. Something that has more payoffs.

Hooked it all up. Kept the stuff in the box that needed to be in and added my parents' phone book for the weight.... THE RINGER CAN NOT LOOK EMPTY!

I hid the system under my bed with my good old NES out in the wide open. I had Super Mario World beat by Christmas day. It was bliss and an amazing heist, although my parents could not find the phonebook.

Christmas day came, I opened it and ran like the dickens as by the time my parents could catch up I HAD TO HAVE THE BOX ALL OPEN, otherwise the jig was up.

WOrked great. Phone book got placed behind the office desk ever so gently.

BUt I got mine...........I had to spend the next days playing only f^&%$$^G ULTRAMAN!!!!!!! Worst game ever.

Sorry off topic, thinking of putting an XboxOne under the tree at 35 years old, I"m thinking my wife's Yellow Pages would be missing for 2 weeks.

              Had to chime in.

LOL! I did a very similar thing except with the NES a few years earlier!

I was very nearly caught red handed as my aunt dropped by unexpectedly to check on me and my sister why our parents were out. I didn't play it til Christmas though, after she left, I carefully put it back in the wrapping and waited til Christmas morning.

This! I also no longer buy every game at release. I pick and choose games and wait for sales for some stuff.

I'm not really a online gamer anymore, I don't do sports leagues online or anything like that. I don't know whether or not I'll have time in a given night to play, so better to just game when I can.

This is why I liked the One more, because I can use all the streaming and other stuff more easily since the TV goes through it.

Both consoles are just tearing it up. Way beyond what I was expecting, and way beyond early 360/PS3 numbers. Just insane! And with a crappier economy than 2006.

Though I wonder if MS and Sony had been able to match the early production numbers of the 360/PS3 to the One and PS4, if the sales would have been matched or much much closer to that of the One and PS4.

A co-worker just got an Xbox One yesterday. I was leaning towards a PS4 for The Show and Uncharted, but man, his initial impressions of the Xbox really have me re-thinking that decision. Plus, it didn't help that he had the console delivered to the office; I told him he better take that home immediately or else I may walk off with it on my way out the door.

It looks like I'll be waiting until tax season to get a next-gen console. I just scored two tickets to the BCS Championship Game! Heading to Pasadena to cheer on my Seminoles ... man, that's going to be something.

That's a good question...I think they both had the hardware buttoned down much earlier, it's just software where MS (and Sony) had to push some stuff to future updates.

Nice to see both consoles doing well. With the crazy fast adoption you know we'll see more games coming to these systems faster vs. in the past.

Selling 2M in only 13 launch markets is pretty good. I might be mistaken, but I believe I read the PS4 launched in 24 (Or somewhere around there) markets, selling 2M as well. Both doing well, but XB1 is impressive in less markets.
