Re: Xbox One
Forget picking up Madden. Subscribe to EA Access. It is 30 bucks a year and you have full access to: Madden 15, Madden 25, NHL 15, Battlefield 4, Fifa 14, Live 15, UFC, Peggle, Need for Speed.
Save the 24 and spend the 30 for a year subscription and all those games.
For me, Battlefield 4 was worth it instead of rebuying it since I already had it on 360. ALso, NHL didn't earn my purchase this year but I am playing it alot now since it entered the Vault. And really enjoyed Madden 15. Still not sure what the hell a Peggle is.Last edited by shogunofharlem3; 05-03-2015, 09:50 PM.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Finally got a One today. I got the AC Bundle. I was all set to get a PS4 and then for my birthday my wife (maybe confused) got me all sorts of xbox online gift cards. I couldn't say no, so I let that make the decision for me to go One. We've lived on our 360 for the last (3) years, so I think we'll be all set.
Anyway, I downloaded the free AC games, and I'm going to pick up the $24 Madden 15. I need a sweet single player game to play and I am up for suggestions. The gorier and more horrifying the better.
Please advise.
Why don't you just sign up for ea access instead of buying madden? It's 30 for a year and you get madden along with everything else.Comment

The Witcher will be out 5/19. Get EA access to play around with till then. And don't be afraid to try some digital only games like Ori, etc.Comment

Re: Xbox One
Not sure how I feel about that, the performance of the guide would need to improve for me to use it more. I'd like the option to sacrifice some performance or something to keep the guide running and updated, or have it more intelligently do that in the background. Then again, our Genie UI has slowed significantly and we're still using that. I get a lot of use out of the 'Whats On' quick list in the second page of the dashboard to get to obviously popular things like a playoff game or Game of Thrones. If that could be customized to list the favorite channels or the guide data for n number of favorites that'd be useful.
Another pet peeve w/ the Xbox One is when I'm using the store, and I go to something like Twitch from a page, then back out of it it always refreshes the store page I was on. I completely get the reason for that (refresh broadcasters and clips which may have changed, for one) but it's just something that nags me. There are some operations too where you quickly move through multiple apps. Open the store (store icon, then loading) go to a game, click a video (upload studio app icon) back out, click on a broadcast (twitch splash). If it could move through these functions without the brief screens which I think just serve to mask some loading I'd be a happier camper.Last edited by mestevo; 05-06-2015, 11:44 AM.Comment

It is cool though, and if you're using the tuner/QAM stuff then this would give you basic DVR for one show on network TV, but just only one show. Too many times I have shows collide.
I wonder if it'll let you share among other Xbox Ones on your network? I could see that being cool, having my upstairs Xbox One save some shows if I have conflicts on my main DVR or something like that, but still be able to watch downstairs?Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
